The DBA is responsible for providing technical support for the database environment including overseeing the development and organization of the databases, assessment and implementation of new technologies, and providing Information Technology with a long-term perspective on the relationship of database technology to the business opportunities facing the company. Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and proactively maintain a multi-server environment consisting of SQL Server 2005 thru 2012 on both Windows 2003 to 2012 R2 platforms in production, staging and laboratory environments
  • Installation and configuration of new instances
  • Administration, monitoring and management assigned SQL Server instances
  • Performance tuning and optimization (indexing, partitioning, maintenance)
  • Backups and restores (transaction log & database level)
  • Task automation (PowerShell scripting, SQL Agent)
  • Security (server and database layers)
  • Meet with both internal and external teams to gather requirements for upcoming database needs, implementation of those requirements, testing and monitoring for specific functional and performance targets
  • Maintain documentation for maintenance processes, server configurations (both how to configure and current configurations)
  • Supports data calls and specific applications as needed from both the database and application server standpoint
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Trains and develops technical support and applications staff to better utilize on-line processing databases environment.

In this role, the Survey Research Analyst will be responsible for supporting Senior Director in consulting with clients regarding project scope and methodology, in order to deliver strategic deliverables that meet the client’s objectives.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Assist Senior Director in managing multiple research projects concurrently, utilizing a variety of research methodologies/approaches (ex., panel based, on-device, online advertising effectiveness, online focus groups, website evaluations)
  • Assist Senior Director in the development of questionnaires
  • Oversee all data-related aspects of project execution (e.g., quality control assurance from fielding through report delivery)
  • Assist Senior Director in the progress of survey research projects to ensure they align with client’s research objectives - this includes communication to anticipate challenges related to survey design, fielding/data collection, and project deliverables.
  • Assist in analyzing data sets in order to communicate compelling insights to clients. Perform basic analysis of survey research results, including sub-group analysis for inclusion in reports. Basic analysis to include:
    • Produce descriptive analyses of results consistent with client research objectives
    • Perform basic analyses of statistical significance using accepted measures such as t-tests, chi square and analysis of variance
    • Creation and implement of weighting schemes with supervision
  • Assist in designing/creating reports/presentations based on client needs
  • Support the preparation of client presentations
  • Support existing clients with company’s growth objectives in mind

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Social Sciences, or quantitative field
  • Experience in an online environment/using online methodologies is required. Experience with custom research is an asset. Strong attention to detail and quality

BASIC FUNCTION:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the delivery of reports and analysis that deliver a client’s insight requirements.
  • Work with internal technology and analytics teams to further enhance the scope and quality of the data streams available for future research engagements.
  • Work directly with clients to define business goals and translate into an analytics strategy to achieves those goals.
  • Responsible for managing assets and controlling costs on client deliveries.
  • Prepare and present final deliverables and analysis findings to key stakeholders in client organisations.
  • Helps formulate engagement methodology.
  • Provides expertise and value beyond client work. Contributes to team growth by creating documentation and training others.
  • Communicates internally and externally with polish and poise. Builds rapport with clients and is able to speak about the project or other unrelated topics as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree.
  • 3+ years relevant experience in web analytics, business intelligence and research data in a client facing role.
  • Experienced in data analysis and KPI reporting.
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English.
  • Excellent knowledge of the online market and subsequent business requirements of clients.
  • Constant interest to keep up to date with online market, relevant technologies and emerging business/ industry trends.
