comScore is seeking a self-starting, motivated Dictionary Analyst to work with our proprietary classification system and support comScore's sales/client service teams. We are seeking someone with strong initiative to improve and automate systems and who also enjoys working with technical teams. The Dictionary groups primary function is to manage the company's proprietary classification systems (dictionary databases) for a leading Market Research company specializing in tracking Digital Media. The group provides comprehensive hierarchical definitions on how all Internet media are classified, allowing for competitive comparison analysis.

BASIC FUNCTION:

The Associate SPM position is an entry level position within comScore operations team that will work with fellow Survey Project Managers and Research Managers to assist and support in day-to-day functions required to manage online surveys. Entry level responsibilities include simple programming of online survey logic in Confirmit (an application for conducting online survey research), ensure sample requirements are fulfilled and perform hygiene on collected survey data to ensure the highest levels of data integrity are met. The high level responsibility involves the oversight of Survey-related projects and communication with appropriate parties to do so.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Provide operational execution of online surveys. Ensure survey is programmed accurately and efficiently
  • Understand programming requirements for online survey deployment.
  • Act as support and/or owner of assigned client projects.
  • Understand, coordinate, and execute all technical aspects of project
  • Fully understand all survey quota requirements
  • Understand programming impacts on data structure
  • Interact with internal personnel to finalize online survey and all other aspects of project
  • Program routing surveys to optimize sample usage.
  • Work with client service/Research group to develop custom solutions for special project requirements/challenges
  • Work with external sample suppliers to meet job requirements
  • Hygiene data (scrub) prior to release
  • Develop/maintain process documentation and provide input on ways to improve overall process.
  • Liaise with Outside vendors or Panel Ops to determine sample requirements, and coordinate with externally located programming vendors, to ensure the online survey is executed as specified.
  • Ensure that the information received by external vendors meet and/or exceed all quality standards. 
  • Once this quality assurance role is complete, the deliverables are provided to the Researcher.
  • Remain current on best practices related to research, data and programming in order to provide the highest quality support and service to researchers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 0-2 years project professional work experience in business fields pertaining to research, market research, survey research or related industries.
  • Bachelors degree
  • Understanding of computer programming and Technical familiarity with scripting (JavaScript, jScript.NET) is highly desired.
  • Strong desire to work with project management and/or surveys.
  • Microsoft Office Able to use MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook efficientlySQL and/or MS Access experience is strongly desired.
  • Excellent skills in organization, communication, multi-tasking, and the ability to show demonstrated experience with these.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and be self-directed

This is a part-time position and candidates must be available 7 nights a week. Shifts will vary and candidates must be willing to work on any night of the week starting at 6:00pm and could work as late as 1:00am.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Contacting theaters for missing grosses (sales information).
• Strong attention to detail and monitor theater’s normal reporting time and evaluate the need to contact or communicate with the day shift on issues that cannot be handled during the shifts.
• Collecting nightly grosses (sales information).
• Keeping track of received data and source documents.
• Preparing and sorting source documents, along with identifying and interpreting data to be entered.
• Data entry of alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into computer following format displayed on screen, and enters necessary codes.
• Make necessary corrections to information entered and compile, sort, and verify accuracy of data to be entered.
• This position will also provide routine office support such as making copies, faxing, answering phones, prepares correspondence for mailing, and delivering and picking up correspondence.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed 
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication skills are also needed as this person will Contact originators of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data. 
• Must have excellent computer skills.
• 10 key experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work nights. Shifts start at 6:00pm and work until midnight or later depending upon workload.

JOB FUNCTION:

This Analyst will team with senior management to manage comScore's relationships with clients at top companies through spearheading deliveries of comScore data, helping clients gain business value from that data, and preparing and delivering reports and analyses. This person will enable and provide superior client service to these firms including timely and informative responses to client inquiries, product support, and demonstrate sensitivity to clients' business objectives and goals. In addition, this Analyst will analyze comScore data and deliver business insights to these clients, with an eye toward expanding revenue opportunities.  In support of the above, the person will develop an intimate knowledge of how our data is processed and created. This position provides growth opportunities for driven, successful individuals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver custom reports and analyses that address clients' business questions and goals, including conducting industry and web site research, performing data quality assurance checks and investigations, analyzing large amounts of data, researching changes in trends, preparing spreadsheet reports and slide presentations, and presenting findings to existing clients in order to deliver strategic consulting services and business insights
  • Deliver exceptional client service support to leading Automotive and/or CPG clients
  • Become expert in comScore custom market research projects, solutions capabilities and data
  • Support ongoing deliveries of comScore data; help clients understand data and gain business value from it
  • Partner with members of other internal teams including other member of the Client Insights team as well as members of the Sales and Custom Analytics teams.
  • Project a positive, team-oriented demeanor

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in marketing, quantitative, or technical field
  • 1-3 years of work experience that includes analytical experience. Proven proficiency with numbers and statistics, experience in analyzing large amounts of data, and an ability to consolidate and translate that data into business insight
  • Project management skills, including the abilities to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and work effectively with colleagues and clients in diverse departments, geographic locations, and time zones
  • Experience which involves exposure to the digital marketing ecosystem
  • Experience with custom market research, analyzing consumer Internet behavior, or consulting
  • Excellent attention to detail along with a strong work ethic and desire to go the extra mile
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to operate mostly independently
  • Excellent communication skills

JOB SUMMARY

The integration consultant is responsible for working directly with clients to evaluate all digital properties for design and implementation of comScore measurement technologies across multiple platforms.  The successful candidate will simultaneously maintain integration workflows and communication with numerous clients. A love of problem solving in challenging situations along with the ability to extract and communicate technical requirements from client communications is critical to success.

DESCRIPTION

  • Advise and assist comScore’s clients with the implementation of measurement SDK’s
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales and Operations, to create and implement client solutions for application measurement
  • Perform bug fix verification, validation and troubleshoots internal and external client issues
  • Report product bugs to engineering teams and track resolution of technical issues
  • Explain complex technical problems to internal and external clients in a clear and concise manner
  • Prototypes and writes SQL queries to compare various data sets
  • Create scripts to extract and manipulate data for reporting and analysis
  • Work with clients and peers to define technical requirements and translate these into an analytics strategy
  • Work independently, however still receive direction from manager
  • Lead meetings with client technical resources and present comScore solutions
  • Lead technical advisory consulting engagements with clients, the planning of client deliverables, technical deliverables and support technical development
  • Responsible for quality control of technical deliverables and project management of key client projects
  • Lead all aspects of enterprise engagements independently
  • Identify, understand, and solve complex internal and external issues for customers and employees
  • Represent comScore from a technical perspective in client meetings

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to create and manage multiple strategic relationships
  • Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, CSS / HTML, Web services / APIs, browser compatibility issues and solutions required
  • Experience with SQL
  • Ability to troubleshoot client implementations
  • Ability to perform data testing and validation for current and newly developed product features

What You'll Do In This Role:

  • Manage multiple research projects concurrently, utilizing a variety of research methodologies/approaches (ex., panel based, on-device, online advertising effectiveness, online focus groups, website evaluations)
  • Develop research questionnaires
  • Oversee all data-related aspects of project execution (e.g., quality control assurance from fielding through report delivery)
  • Monitor the progress of survey research projects to ensure they align with clients research objectives - this includes communication to anticipate challenges related to survey design, fielding/data collection, and project deliverables.
  • Analyze data sets in order to communicate compelling insights to clients.
  • Perform basic analysis of survey research results, including sub-group analysis for inclusion in reports.
  • Basic analysis to include:Produce descriptive analyses of results consistent with client research objectives
  • Perform basic analyses of statistical significance using accepted measures such as t-tests, chi square and analysis of variance
  • Creation and implement of weighting schemes with supervision
  • Design/create reports and presentations based on client needs
  • Prepare client presentations, final deliverables and an explanation of analyses
  • Support existing clients with company's growth objectives in mind

  • Familiarity with SPSS is strongly preferred

JOB FUNCTION

This role, part of the Product Innovation team that drives new product offerings, will guide the design of new products serving the needs of the national and local TV and digital industries. The position will develop methods to transform, model, and project available data into sources of insight and direction for clients. This position collaborates across departments and guides management on product decisions. The position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and performs a variety of complicated tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Conceptualize, design, and plan product innovation projects that creatively solve tactical and strategic problems and bring new approaches to management.
  • Independently identify appropriate statistical techniques, data, and methods that will be used to answer research and business questions.   
  • Analyze and define efficient, workable solutions that support business processes and functional requirements for product innovations.   
  • Develop statistical tools to facilitate and improve data investigation, sampling, regression, manipulation, projection, and analysis using analytical software such as SQL, SAS, R, and Excel.   
  • Provide direction and guidance to team members during all stages of projects including planning, analysis, and implementation.
  • Be responsible for quality control of source data, analyses, and modeling work to ensure on-time and accurate deliverables.
  • Take ownership in outlining, estimating, and documenting own project steps, and independently manage projects from data analysis through producing comprehensive reports.   
  • Prepare internal and client-facing documents, including white papers and articles, with graphs, tables, summaries and narratives that describe methods, algorithms, results, and actionable recommendations; present this information to peers, senior management and clients.    Support the software development team throughout the project lifecycle.   
  • Investigate data issues, including client-reported concerns, and assist with problem resolution.    
  • Create and follow project/problem tickets, ensuring all steps completed within expected deadlines by coordinating and working with involved parties, making informed decisions and communicating them.

Understanding of actuals versus projected metrics.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • PhD in Statistics, Decision Sciences, Economics, Physics, or Mathematics or related field.   
  • 10+ years relevant research experience.    
  • 10+ years software development experience.   
  • General familiarity with media and digital industries (television, home entertainment, advertising, etc.) and practices.   
  • Strong self-starter with proven work ethic and sound business judgment.    
  • Exceptional social and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to motivate teams.   
  • Solid writing skills and excellent presentation abilities.   
  • Some travel could be required.
