JOB FUNCTION

The Senior Director, Operations will manage and oversee the day-to-day activities of the Operations functions of the TV Operations team. Responsible for the performance of various Department functions including Data Acquisition, Data Recovery, On Demand Content Management, and Linear TV Schedule Coordination.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures proactive identification, coordination and resolution of data quality and client satisfaction issues

• Ensures continued departmental compliance with accreditation activities.

  • Identifies and evaluates opportunities for new and updated procedures to ensure compliance

    • Monitors and evaluates data feeds supporting TV products, ensuring quality and consistency and identifying issues and opportunities relating to data feed changes

    • Fosters and maintains relationships with data partners and clients

    • Hands-on management of daily activities, performing data analysis and other Operations functions to lead by example

    • Coordinates and collaborates with other departments of the corporation in establishing strategy and carrying out responsibilities

    • Reviews performance against operating plans and standards.

    • Provides reports to subordinates on interpretation of results and approves changes in direction of plans.

    • Presents status reports on issues and performance as requested by the SVP of Operations

    • Develops and presents to the SVP of Operations on matters requiring a decision

    • Reviews operations policy within the Operations Department.  Recommends updates and addition to policy.

    • Works with SVP of Operations to recommend and define objectives in each area of Operations.

    • Develops specific short-term and long-term plans and programs, together with supporting budget requests and financial estimates.

    • Evaluates and recommends new tools and improvements to existing tools for team

    • Reviews and approves cost control reports, develops cost estimates, and staffing requirements forecast

    • Develops budgets throughout the Operations Department

    • Reviews, and recommends Operations projects involving major changes within the Department's functional areas

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE      

    • B.S., Engineering or Business discipline.  M.S./MBA preferred

    • 3+ years Operations experience in Media Measurement, TV or Cable desired

    • 5+ years’ experience as Director of Operations or similar role

    • 7+ years of experience in increasingly responsible management positions where excellent performance and employee management skills have been emphasized

In this role, the Local Television Analyst will utilize knowledge in media research, sales and statistics to work closely with other members of the Local Television team to create data driven analyses, actionable insights and ready to use client sales pieces or collateral.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Pull and deliver regular scheduled data analyses from various portals
    • Derive actionable insights that help internal and external stakeholders better utilize Rentraks Local Television data
    • Be a go to source internally for data pulls and presentation building
    • Manage expectations and coordinate project delivery with internal team
    • Beta test new product features and provide appropriate feedback as requested
    • Occasional travel to client or internal

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Competency working with complex research/measurement data
    • Understanding of the Local Media marketplace and the role research plays in the sales processExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate well with people at all levels of an organization both internally and externally, both written and verbally
    • Ability to formulate action plans and execute initiatives
    • Outstanding project management, presentation, and customer service skills
    • Strong competency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
    • Working knowledge of Qliqview and Tableau a plus
    • Self-motivated, organized, and resourceful
    • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) or equivalent work experience
    • 1-2 years account management and/or client service experience with a research product
    • Demonstrated success in managing executive relationships and delivering to client needs

    This Analyst will team with senior management to manage comScore's relationships with clients at top companies through spearheading deliveries of comScore data, helping clients gain business value from that data, and preparing and delivering reports and analyses. An intimate knowledge of how the data is processed and created will be necessary. This person will provide superior client service to these firms including timely and informative responses to client inquiries, product training and support, and demonstrate sensitivity to clients’ business objectives and goals with the guidance of their manager. In addition, this Analyst will analyze comScore data and deliver strategic consulting services and business insights to these clients.     Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Deliver exceptional client service to leading Pharma and Health clients
    • Support ongoing deliveries of comScore data; help clients understand data and gain business value from it
    • Project management across several accounts, including conducting kick off calls, working with internal comScore teams to effectively launch new projects, collaborate with internal teams, working together to keep projects on track and resolving issues as they arise
    • Deliver custom reports and analyses that address clients’ business questions and goals, including conducting industry, advertising and web site research, performing data quality assurance checks and investigations, analyzing large amounts of data, researching changes in trends, preparing spreadsheet reports and slide presentations, and presenting findings to existing clients in order to deliver strategic consulting services and business insights
    • Incubate new products; help improve and grow them to meet clients’ needs more effectively
    • Help upsell additional services for existing projects as well as new projects to meet client needs

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in marketing, quantitative, or technical field
    • 3+ years of work experience in an analytical role (including data analysis, market research, business/financial analysis, etc.)
    • Experience managing and developing client relationships and analytical work
    • Proven ability to operate independently, proficiency with numbers and statistics, experience in analyzing large amounts of data, and an ability to consolidate and translate that data into business insights.
    • Project management skills, including ability to handle multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced environment and work effectively with colleagues and clients in diverse departments, geographic locations, and time zones
    • Experience which involves exposure to the digital marketing ecosystem
    • Experience with custom market research, analyzing users' Internet behavior, or consulting
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Strong work ethic, desire to go the extra mile, self-motivated, fast learner, and team player willing to help others
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Experience serving the Pharma industry a plus but not required.

    comScore is looking for an integration engineer, responsible for the implementation of measurement technologies across multiple platforms. The successful candidate will simultaneously maintain integration workflows with numerous clients. A love of problem solving in challenging situations along with the ability to extract and communicate technical requirements from client communications is critical to success. 

      

    TITLE: Implementation Engineer, Internet Television  LOCATION: Milan, Italy  REPORTS TO: Manager, Tagging Operations 

      

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Advise and assist comScore’s clients with the implementation of measurement SDK’s in video players and apps
    • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales and Operations, to create and implement client solutions for application measurement
    • Perform bug fix verification, validation and troubleshoots internal and external client issues
    • Report product bugs to engineering teams and track resolution of technical issues
    • Explain complex technical problems to internal and external clients in a clear and concise manner
    • Prototypes and writes SQL queries to compare various data sets
    • Create scripts to extract and manipulate data for reporting and analysis
    • Work with clients and peers to define technical requirements and translate these into an analytics strategy
    • Work independently, however still receive direction from manager
    • Instruct client technical resources and present comScore solutions
    • Take care of technical deliverables and quality control 

      

    QUALIFICATIONS 

    • Results oriented team player who takes ownership of SDK implementations by clients.
    • Good interpersonal skills and ability to create a sound working relationship with clients.
    • Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, CSS / HTML, Web services / APIs, browser compatibility issues and solutions required
    • Programming experience with Java, Objective-C, JavaScript, and/or ActionScript
    • Hands-on experience with mobile applications for iOS and/or Android
    • Experience with database technologies: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Greenplum
    • Ability to troubleshoot client implementations
    • Ability to perform data testing and validation for current and newly developed product features
    • Strong data analysis skill
    • Experience with (video) content management systems or ad serving systems a plus
    • Deep knowledge of the advertising ecosystem a plus
    • Experience with complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical knowledge or industry experience
