BASIC FUNCTION:
The Sales Director‘s primary goal will be to grow comScore’s relationships with Tier 1 wireless carriers by identifying opportunities within the organizations to use comScore’s carrier analytics software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:


• Develops the strategy, along with associated tactics for creating new business opportunities as well as supporting all existing production activities within assigned accounts/territories.
• Identifies new opportunities; applications for comScore products/services, and provides input into comScore Carrier Analytics Software Organizations to assist the Company in furthering these efforts. This includes working closely with customer decision makers, Field Operations and any relevant product/service end users.
• Works closely with the leadership of each client’s buying groups to address their business needs as well as create new requirements. Additionally strives towards ensuring pledged delivery dates are met while at the same time fortifying all of these important relationships.
• Have strong existing relationships and understanding of the Marketing, Care and/or retention groups at ATT, Verizon Wireless and Canadian carriers a plus.
• Solid knowledge of data analytics and ability to take particular uses cases and build data streams to support analyses that support the use cases.
• Experience selling software to Tier 1 carriers.
• Develops account strategies, along with associated tactics, that include establishing clear roles and directing specific activities of other comScore team members (i.e. Sales Directors, Product Engineering, Field Engineering and Technical Support) to not only meet, but exceed, the customer’s expectations. Execute a clearly defined business plan with the objective of advancing a sale to the close and fostering a long term business relationship with the customer.
• Positions comScore as the vendor/product of choice.
• Professionally prepares written documentation required for client presentations, RFP’s and other documents as required.
• Utilizes advanced business development skills to advance business, lead the sale and build business case(s).  This includes detailed technical requirements analysis, cost versus technical benefit analysis and obtain customer agreement on financial payback determinations, and professional board room presentations to groups.
• At a minimum successfully achieves predefined sales objectives.
• Organizes and runs weekly business development meetings. Conducts regular reviews with employees.
• Works independently as a remote employee; is a self-starter with good team work and great communications skills.
• Regularly reports/presents detailed customer information for purposes of keeping company executives informed, as well as keeping customer contact and company data bases (including customer profiles) current.

Tabulations Analyst (Toronto, Canada)

Job Function:

As a Tabulations analyst at comScore, the candidate will be involved in solving Tabulations models based on internal clients specifications.  The position entails writing custom syntax aimed to develop cross tabulations with high degree of accuracy and meeting the time demands of Research teams company wide.  The successful candidate will also coordinate projects with outsourcing companies abroad and will ensure that quality protocols are faithfully followed.  This role is fast paced, highly visible and carries a level of stress to meet specific deadlines.  The candidate is expected to use above average analytical skills in this position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting Table & Banner guide requirements and deriving a solution to the tabulations model being suggested by the Research team
  • Writing syntax in UNCLE at medium to advance level
  • Solving weighting models (simple, medium and complex)
  • Ensuring tabular outputs match SPSS/Excel/ASCII source files or internal reporting tools
  • Resposible for delivering quality outputs withing the time allowed
  • Recoding variables
  • Performing data calculations (volumetric data, unit coversion, transposing, etc)
  • Using creativity to achieve results in less time
  • Being able to automate tasks via macros or custom applications
  • Capable of working on special assignments outlined by the Tabulations manager

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Social Sciences or relevant technical field
  • Above average analytical skills, quick to solve problems, being able to assess options critically
  • 3-5 years of Tabulations experience, preferable in the area of writing syntax in UNCLE
  • Excellent Oral and writen skills
  • Ability to work independently and multi task, as necessary
  • Extremely proactive and capable to make judgment calls when projects become ovewhelming
  • Being able to work in a fast paced environment with a high level of responsibility and ownership of each project

Preferred:

  • Solid Knowledge of Excel, SPSS and Tabulations packages (Expertise in UNCLE is desirable)
  • Deep undertanding Weights for data processing
  • Experience with online research
  • Solid logic applied to data procesing
  • Knowledge of ConfirmIT or other compatible survey programming tools
  • Experience managing data files of any size and complexity
  • Great understanding of tracker studies and trended data

Job Function:

The Analyst will analyze big data, design process improvements, and write software that will enable our clients to harness the depth of our digital data assets.  This role will play an integral part in shaping the new narrative of audience measurement in the age of multiple devices and unique platforms.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate between cross-functional teams to design, develop, and run statistical analyses on very large datasets.
  • Work with comScore analytics and data quality teams to ensure we deliver robust quality data.
  • Detect and troubleshoot inconsistencies and errors in large datasets.

Qualifications:

  • BS or higher degree in Statistics or related field, such as Operations Research, Applied Statistics or Econometrics.
  • A strong analytical approach grounded in measuring incremental performance improvement and actionable results
  • A strong tie to cutting edge research with an eye towards adapting new techniques to the data and inference challenges faced at comScore.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical material to varied audiences with different levels of statistical knowledge both internally and externally.
  • Proficiency in SQL, R, or SAS.
  • Experience working with large, disparate data sources and developing scalable routines to process and analyze them.

Preferred:

  • Very strong experience with R and SQL for accomplishing small and medium-sized tasks.
  • Hadoop or comparable MapReduce experience.
  • Experience with the Internet advertising industry and/or behavioral data.
  • Solid understanding of Git or similar distributed version control systems.

This role is for a dedicated individual proficient in data analysis, design, and development of Search Marketing, Multi-Platform Media products, and Custom Solutions. The work she/he produces will have direct impacts to driving business strategies for prominent industry leaders. This person will analyze big data, diagnose potential issues, design process improvements, and collaborate across different functional teams.  Self-motivation and strong communication skills are both must haves. This role will play an integral part in shaping the new narrative of digital measurement in the age of multiple devices and platforms. This position is open for both the South San Francisco and Reston offices.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of multiple search data streams. Be the knowledge expert.
  • Develop enhancements and create new products.
  • Fully test new concepts and integrate them into production process.
  • Build custom solutions to meet market needs for audience measurement reporting.
  • Participate in ongoing research and evaluation of new related technologies.
  • Exercise your experience in the development lifecycle through analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of this system.
  • Collaborate with teams in Software Engineering, Operations, and Product Management to deliver timely and high quality data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject such as Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, etc.
  • Experience in data analysis and problem solving with big data.
  • Experience with SQL or knowledge of relational databases and methods for efficiently retrieving data.
  • Ability to develop advanced solutions in Python.
  • Ability to think creatively and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to autonomously manage simultaneous projects in a fast paced business environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written and computer communication skills with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • The nature of the team’s dynamics will require an individual that is able to work closely in a collaborative role with other team members, as well as complete tasks individually as assigned.
