Senior Survey Research Manager (Chicago, US) Req ID: 18427

The Survey Research Manager will be responsible for coordinating updates, maintenance, and evaluation of the monthly, syndicated surveys that support comScore's MobiLens and related mobile phone and tablet measurement products. In this role, the Survey Research Manager will be responsible for writing new survey questions and making necessary changes to existing questions and survey logic based on direction from Product Team. The Survey Research Manager will analyze test and production data after the fact, to ensure the MobiLens and related surveys are seamlessly adapted to keep pace with the rapidly changing mobile market. The Survey Research Manager will take ownership for the quality of every monthly survey.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage survey questionnaires fielded for multiple countries concurrently, balancing the need for appropriate localization with the need for consistent, cross-geographical comparisons of data.
  • Design/write new survey questions based on direction from Product team.
  • Coordinate with Survey Operations team to ensure proper fielding of questionnaires.
  • Oversee all data-related aspects of post-survey testing (e.g., quality assurance performed on data returned from new and edited survey questions)
  • Manage progress of survey enhancements to ensure accomplishment of research objectives - this includes communication to anticipate challenges related to survey design, fielding/data collection, and interface reporting.
  • It also requires the Survey Manager to coordinate communication with the Product Team regarding reporting progress, anticipating and overcoming challenges, and assuring quality deliverables.
  • Analyze large data sets in order to communicate compelling insights to internal teams. Perform basic analysis of survey research results, including sub-group analysis for inclusion in reports.
  • Basic analysis to include:
      • Produce descriptive analysis of results consistent with product objectives
      • Perform basic analysis of statistical significance
      • Design/create reports/summaries based on Product Team needs
      • Prepare and present analysis with findings and recommendations to Product Team and internal analysts on team.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced Degree or significant experience in Marketing, Business, Social Sciences, or quantitative field
  • At least 2-3 years of survey research experience with the ability to manage projects from start to finish independently using a variety of research methodologies.
  • Experience in an online environment/ using online methodologies is required. Experience with custom research is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Understanding of survey execution needs and requirements
  • Must be proficient in SPSS and SQL
  • Microsoft office proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience determining product requirements and coordinating with product development is a plus

The role is split between liaising with key internal/ external stakeholders, and working with international teams ensuring, amongst other things, contractual commitments are met as per the agreed scope and delivery plan.

Our external stakeholders include partners in national online media measurement and governance initiatives – UK Online Measurement (UKOM - http://www.ukom.uk.net/), the Association of Online Publishers (http://www.ukaop.org.uk/), the Interactive Advertising Bureau (http://www.iabuk.net/ and http://www.iabspain.net/) and the Spanish National Association of Media and Communications Research (http://www.aimc.es/). Responsibilities:
 

  • Plan and monitor each project; produce and maintain schedules for each deliverable or milestone, ensuring agreement with the client and the Steering Group
  • Ensure that each project/ deliverable is clearly defined and controlled
  • Delegate clear roles/ responsibilities for project tasks ensuring accountability for the assigned task.
  • Act as an escalation point for project issues, resolving situations in a timely manner. Attend and prepare quarterly external technical group meetings where the project team would present on specific deliverables and manage any follow-up actions

  • Undertake project level reporting to relevant stakeholders

Desired Skills and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS:
