JOB FUNCTION:

We are seeking a high performing individual who combines analytical excellence, razor-sharp communication skills and an ability to build outstanding client relationships.  The successful candidate will have a relentless work ethic and a desire to aggressively further business in an innovative, fast-paced company.  Our ideal candidate will have a unique understanding of how agencies work with their clients to apply data and insights.. Given the complex and proprietary nature of our products, the levels of detailed, industry-specific knowledge required to successfully perform this role, and the unique and evolving nature of digital media, the ideal candidate will already have ample skill and experience with comScore’s solutions suite.  This includes products such as comScore’s Validated Campaign Essentials and our core syndicated MediaMetrix suite, AdEffectiveness products including studies and analysis of brand survey lift, and online and offline sales lift and/or our comScore TV suite of products (formerly Rentrak).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Sales Director will support the company's goals through a range of business development, consulting, and analytic sales functions.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for selling our unique solutions suite to leading advertising agencies, leveraging comScore’s core capabilities to address clients' strategic and tactical marketing challenges.
  • Use specialized comScore product knowledge to conduct detailed technical product demonstrations tailored to highlight the value and benefits that comScore’s suite of solutions (s) brings to the client.  These demonstrations will illustrate our unique value proposition of providing insights that can enable agencies to make more effective decisions for and with their clients
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the agency and their clients business, in order to use real and detailed examples to demonstrate how the comScore solutions suite can assist them in achieving their business objectives
  • Uncover and understand the business needs and challenges of our agency clients and address these through business analysis, recommendations and ongoing consultation based on our unique information services and ability to assess markets, customers, competitors and prospects
  • Achieve deep technical knowledge of comScore’s full suite of services.  This understanding can only be achieved through experience in deploying comScore’s solutions which will require a commitment to learning and training
  • Forge solid, strategic relationships with key decision makers at targeted accounts as well as internal account relationship stakeholders.  The Director must serve as a credible, trustworthy representative of comScore and our products, and ensure that he/she follow through on the product commitments made.
  • Very deep knowledge of the agency business, plus expertise in digital media marketing, current trends, and evolution of digital platforms is essential.
  • Ability to communicate successfully with a diverse set of clients and decision makers, spanning all levels of agency organizations and across various agency functional areas (data/analytics, research, planning, activation, etc)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years experience in digital, TV, media research or related sales
  • Highly aggressive and experienced sales professional with a proven track record of success in the digital marketing industry (online publisher/media company, digital client, or market research firm).
  • Breadth of experience and ability to strategically position digital data and analytics to propose and win business with clients.  Specific experience managing or selling advertising effectiveness services preferred
  • Up-to-date knowledge of comScore solutions.
  • Knowledge of market research and how information can be applied to help clients achieve their goals
  • Strong agency relationships and understanding of overall agency business and challenges, media planning and buying and deep knowledge of digital, research, Tv, data and analytic within agency space

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Establish strong and productive relationships with clients, including client personnel from research, ad sales, content, business development or other points of contact.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Fluent in Finnish & English
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in internet audience measurement, panel management, research data, digital data analysis or business intelligence.
  • Proven proficiency working with raw data files: transforming/manipulating data, ingesting into databases and reporting tools.
  • Experience in report writing or more advanced data analysis.
  • An ability to consolidate and translate that data into business insight.

Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative subject such as Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, etc. 
  • 2+ years practical work experience   
  • Experience in data analysis and problem-solving with big data.   
  • Experience with SQL or knowledge of relational databases and methods for efficiently retrieving data.   
  • Ability to think creatively and solve complex problems.   
  • Ability to autonomously manage simultaneous projects in a fast-paced business environment.   
  • Excellent verbal, written and computer communication skills with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.   
  • The nature of the team's dynamics will require an individual that can work closely in a collaborative role with other team members, as well as complete tasks individually as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Lead Statistical Operations team in ongoing standard MRC audit, including managing projects and creating technical documentation related to audit preparation and execution 
  • Maintain technical documentation and infrastructure of the Statistical Operations knowledge base  
  • Acquire and maintain a clear understanding of the data science methods utilized in comScore’s products 
  • Manages Statistical Operations quality control practices and technical documentation as part of ongoing compliance with accreditation requirements. 
  • Collaborates with Statistical Operations management to establish quality assurances processes 
  • Advise Statistical Operations management of project schedules, priorities, and risks related to accreditation tasks 
  • On behalf of Statistical Operations management, partner with Best Practices Team responsible for accreditation efforts to respond to accreditation auditor requests, manage audit schedules, and develop technical documentation in preparation for audit
