ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Director /VP will support the company’s goals through a range of sales and account management activities.  More specifically, the individual will:

  • Develop and grow senior contacts into strategic partners within our largest client base
  • Develop account prospecting/acquisition strategies to acquire new Media clients, with a particular focus in the advertising ecosystem category, such as broadcast and cable networks as well as large agency clients
  • Manage a list of key media accounts, including publishers, entertainment firms, and ad agencies
  • Develop a strong understanding of the client’s business and demonstrate how comScore’s services can assist them to achieve their business goals
  • Successfully achieve predefined sales objectives.
  • Forge strong client relationships with key decision makers to solidify comScore as a true consultative partner for business and marketing insights.
  • Prepare written documentation required for client presentations and RFPs.
  • Communicate project objectives and requirements to comScore’s client services and/or engineering teams.  Ensure project quality and delivery, working with product management and other internal teams.
  • Work both autonomously and within a team setting.
  • Regularly update Salesforce with prospect and customer information

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree and  8 years professional sales experience, or advanced degree and at least 6 years of professional sales experience
  • A highly aggressive and analytical sales professional with a proven track record of success in closing new client sales and cultivating client relationships
  • Specific experience managing or selling audience measurement, advertising effectiveness measurement services and/or custom research solutions to media companies, publishers, advertisers and  advertising agencies
  • Experience and established senior contacts and relationships within the media/advertising industry required
  • Understanding of market research (quantitative for TV and digital) and other related industry knowledge and how information can be applied to help clients achieve their goals

Income Tax Manager (Reston, US)

INCOME TAX MANAGER

REPORTS TO:  DIRECTOR OF GLOBAL TAX COMPLIANCE AND REPORTING

 

JOB FUNCTION:

 

The Income Tax Manager (“Manager”) position is a full-time employment position in our Reston, VA office location, in which the Manager is an integral member of the comScore tax department who provides leadership and management of our income tax compliance, reporting, and forecasting.  The Manager will report directly to the Director of Global Tax Compliance and indirectly to the Senior Director of International Tax.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Manages all U.S. Federal and state income tax reporting and analysis, including tax returns, book/tax differences, estimated payments, cash forecasting, tax research and analysis/planning associated with these functions.
  • Manages the preparation of foreign information returns (e.g. Forms 5471) and other forms as required.
  • Coordinates the preparation of all international income tax returns, estimated tax payments, etc. and prepares the return to provision analysis to analyze the tax impact to the financial statements.
  • Manages the preparation of the annual and quarterly global income tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes, including analysis and documentation of uncertain tax positions.
  • Manages the OneSource platform for income tax return and tax provision preparation, assisting with additional implementation to improve processes and increase tax department efficiencies.
  • Assists the Director of Global Tax Compliance in the identification and implementation of domestic and foreign tax planning opportunities in an effort to minimize both GAAP and cash taxes.
  • Assists the Director of Global Tax Compliance with analyzing the income tax impact and reporting requirements for special transactions, including acquisitions, restructuring and dispositions.
  • Assists the Director of Global Tax Compliance with coordination of SOX reporting and controls, including working with tax and other finance personnel to update and maintain the tax department policies and procedures for all income tax processes.
  • Assists the Director of Global Tax Compliance with coordination of federal and state income/franchise tax audits, including drafting responses to inquiries and tax notices.
  • Monitors changes to US tax laws and regulations and determines the financial statement impact.
  • Maintains positive working relationships with and when necessary provides support to other members of the finance and accounting department, legal department, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Global Tax Compliance.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • CPA and/or Master’s Degree in Taxation a plus
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of income tax experience, preferably in a public accounting firm, with a proven knowledge of the following:

The Dictionary group is an integral part of this leading Market Research Company specializing in tracking Digital Media. Its primary function is to manage the proprietary dictionary databases. The group provides comprehensive hierarchical definitions on how all internet media are classified, allowing for competitive comparison analysis.
