This Analyst will help support comScore's relationships with clients at top publishers and media companies by managing deliveries of comScore data, helping clients gain business value from that data, and preparing and delivering reports and analyses. This person will provide superior client service to these firms including timely and informative responses to client inquiries, product training and support, and demonstrate sensitivity to clients business objectives and goals with the guidance of their manager. In addition, this Analyst will assist in analyzing comScore data and delivering strategic consulting services and business insights to these clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: 

  • Deliver exceptional client service support to leading media clients
  • Communicate regularly with clients and agencies, keeping them engaged and utilizing our data Project management across several accounts, including conducting kick off calls, hosting training sessions with clients and working with internal comScore teams to effectively launch new projects
  • Collaborate with internal teams, working together to keep projects on track and resolving issues as they arise

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Lead Accountant of SEC Reporting & Accounting Policy will prepare and review the Company’s SEC filings. The position will be responsible for the stock compensation accounting and equity accounting of the Company. Assist with the documentation of the facts, circumstances, and appropriate accounting treatment of the Company’s complex transactions in the form of technical accounting memos. This will require detailed research of the accounting guidance and the application of the guidance to the specific facts and circumstances of the Company’s unique transactions.    The Lead Accountant of SEC Reporting & Accounting Policy must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment that requires the effective prioritization of many competing tasks. The position will report to the Senior Director, SEC Reporting & Accounting Policy.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Lead Accountant of SEC Reporting & Accounting Policy will perform the following:

 

  • Prepare and review supporting documentation of the Form 10-Q, on a quarterly basis, and the Form 10-K, on an annual basis;
  • Prepare and review the consolidated financial statements and related footnotes for inclusion in the quarterly reviewed and annually audited financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and SEC Regulations;
  • Prepare and review the earnings release documents to support the earnings call;
  • Manage stock compensation accounting using the Fidelity Investments system;
  • Manage accounting for equity transactions and prepare the related schedules needed to support the Company’s equity accounting;
  • Research accounting literature and apply technical standards and analysis to complex or non-recurring business issues and transactions (including acquisitions and dispositions);
  • Management and documentation of financial accounting and reporting policies;
  • Assist with documentation of technical accounting memos, which detail the facts, circumstances, and correct accounting treatment of the complex accounting transactions that the Company enters into each quarter.
    • Research the accounting guidance to obtain support for the conclusions reached in the technical accounting memos.
    • Preparation of quarterly technical accounting update.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
  • 4-6 years of SEC reporting experience and technical accounting experience, preferably with experience related to complex accounting transactions and stock compensation accounting;
  • Knowledge of and experience with Regulations S-X, S-K and U.S. GAAP rules and regulations;
  • CPA certification is preferred;
  • Big 4 Public Accounting experience is preferred;
  • Technical Accounting Memo writing skills;

  • Convert video files as required for day-to-day tasks, projects and as requested or need arises.
  • Perform web-video/digital/streaming capture and file conversions for internal reporting use.

  • Enter and verify video timestamps and other pertinent video file data for utilized videos into administrative interface after report generation.

  • Assists in setting up video equipment for special sessions, meetings and trainings.
  • Generate daily, weekly and monthly reports (as needed and/or required) pertaining to video status, failure/success rates, storage capacity, and hardware errors.
  • Adhere to all operational and video standards and practices and policies.
  • Process incoming video requests and inquiries, assisting in deliverable preparation for internal and external customers.
  • Perform video quality control work, including monitoring feedback on picture quality, sound, equipment operation, data and overall system performance.
  • Perform video recording and verification playback on all in-house and operator supported video systems.
  • Perform video application installation(s) and updates on workstations.
  • Maintain archived video assets in accordance with policies and standards and practices.
  • Assist in supporting legacy video recording systems ensuring they are functioning and operational at all times.
  • Supports operations, client services, sales and other departments when/as required/needed on tasks/issues/questions pertaining to video content; internal and external assets.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular quality assurance and maintenance checks on existing search engine related data sets.
  • Facilitate delivery of various digital measurement reports throughout all the stages of analysis, execution, and support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
You are a leader with functional experience in sales operations across multiple organizations, preferably with experience in the technology industry and with public companies. You are comfortable working in an environment that is constantly changing, with the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks while working cross-functionally. You have a strong analytical background, with an ability to use data to be an agent for change and progress in aligning the sales strategy with the direction and needs of the organization. You will:

  • Define the strategy and leads the process for setting sales targets. In 2016, that process will include moving comScore to a Revenue driven model for sales plans and targets requiring the successful candidate to work with multiple leaders departments to successfully implement this broad change.
  • Work with the CRO, CFO, the Financial team and other key stakeholders in developing the annual revenue plan based on historical trends, industry growth expectations and execution priorities

QUALIFICATIONS:

Undergraduate degree required (Finance, Accounting or Technical/Engineering preferred); MBA or equivalent preferred

  • 10+ years progressive experience in sales operations role. Preference for candidate with experience working in multiple companies with the ability to bring best practices to bear on complex business problems
  • Experience managing the sales operations function for a publically traded company a must
  • Demonstrated experience in sales process design and associated methodologies. Experience with the strategic design of back-office systems (i.e. ERP, CRM, SFA) required to support a large and globally dispersed Sales operation; ability to translate business needs into technology requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently identify appropriate data science techniques and projection methodologies that will be used to support comScore’s cross-platform measurement products, and answer technical and business questions.
  • Build algorithms, tools, custom solutions, and new technologies from diverse and large-scale data sets to enhance comScore’s measurement products, or contribute to new products.
  • Maintain existing algorithms, tools, solutions, and methodologies contributing to comScore’s existing measurement products.
  • Build custom solutions to meet internal and client needs for cross-platform measurement.
  • Work closely with other functional teams, including Software Engineering, Product Management, Data Operations, Client Accounts Managers, and Sales Teams to develop and maintain the methodologies contributing to comScore’s cross-platform measurement services.
  • Apply critical thinking to analyze process and data anomalies, field client inquiries, and diagnose problems and data issues. These tasks will include working with Software Engineers, Product Managers, Account Managers, Sales Managers, and Data Operations Analysts.
  • Summarize and visualize conclusions from large-scale data sets to support the decision making of internal business stakeholders using SAS, Excel, and other tools.
  • Communicate findings and results into measures of business impact.
  • Evaluate and confirm the integrity of large source data sets.
  • Be responsible for quality control and documentation of analysis and modeling to ensure on-time and accurate projection deliverables.
  • Manipulate, analyze, and validate large data sets using SAS and SQL analytical software, and extract quantitative and qualitative findings from large data sets.
  • Creatively solve tactical and strategic problems, bringing new approaches to management.
  • Ownership of routine tasks, ensuring all steps are completed within expected project deadlines with little supervision.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires a BA/BS in Statistics, Mathematics, or related field; Master’s or Ph.D. degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of relevant data science experience; comScore or other media measurement experience can be included.
  • Experience in building data science methodologies and custom data solutions for quantitative data measurement.
  • General familiarity with media industry and practices (theatrical, television, home entertainment, advertising, cross-platform, etc.); existing background in media, television, or cross-platform measurement services preferred.
