Reports to:  Senior Vice President for Global Marketing Strategy

JOB FUNCTION:

The person in this role should manage the marketing strategy and execution plan for comScore’s cross media businesses.  You will be responsible for the global marketing activities for comScore’s cross media products. You will craft the messaging and positioning as well as conceive and develop innovative online and offline marketing programs that drive demand in the market. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to understand and translate technical capabilities into benefits are crucial.  In your role you will be the expert on our buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria and will transfer that knowledge to the product and sales channels.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our cross media and associated products
  • Craft and manage success against the overarching global marketing plan for cross media, with measurable goals and outcomes
  • Drive awareness of comScore's cross media offerings and perception as a leading platform in the digital business analytics space
  • Plan the launch of new releases, features and products and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Create an efficient lead generation and nurturing process leveraging online and offline channels, including events; actively manage the top part of the funnel (awareness and consideration)
  • Communicate the value proposition of products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process
  • Support retention of existing clients through communication and events
  • Serve as the expert on cross media buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competitive platforms and their weaknesses
  • Collaborate with all levels of staff in corporate marketing, sales, product management, development and other relevant internal parties to achieve aggressive goals
  • Case study writing from concept development to publication.
  • Development and refining of sales presentations and collateral from concept development to publication – primarily responsibilities would include writing marketing copy and working with internal design teams to facilitate the development of images and diagrams to communicate complex technical concepts in a business-friendly manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5-10 years of product marketing experience
  • Background in buying and selling of television advertising required
  • Experience with video, mobile and social and market research in digital a plus
  • Excellent written skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Event management experience
  • Willing to travel 25%, domestic and internationally
  • Experience working in (or demonstrated ability to understand/operate in) North American, European, Latin American, and APAC environments

What does an Analytics Intern at comScore do?

What is your day-to-day involvement?

  • Provide sales support including feasibility reviews, sample analyses and deliverables, and client data validations.

Which core skills will prepare you for success?

  • A major with strong quantitative focus such as Engineering (Systems, Computer), Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Info Technology, or Social Sciences (Psychology, Sociology).
  • Classroom or professional experience that is analytical in nature, such as experience with syndicated data, or custom research.  Experience in Internet marketing or in analyzing customer interactions on the web is a plus.
  • Classroom or real world work experience with SQL (queries and any advanced functions, such as joins etc. are a bonus) and / or other relational databases, plus proven proficiency with numbers/statistics.  SAS and R experience will also be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills, including both written and verbal.
