The Design & User Experience team at comScore is looking for an energetic intern to support our user research, interaction design, and usability testing activities. You should have a strong curiosity for learning from our users and interpreting that in to effective user interfaces. At comScore, you will have exposure to the full suite of comScore Products. Your contributions will ensure successful user engagement and analysis.

 

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct user research to understand our users’ mental models for interacting with our products.
  • Design wireframes and prototypes that effectively communicate to business partners and developers well-thought interactions and validate those designs by designing, conducting, and analyzing results of usability studies to identify opportunities and issues to improve your designs and our existing systems.
  • Collaborate with current team members to assist in their research, design, and testing activities.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a BS, MS, or PhD program in human computer interaction, cognitive psychology, information science or a related field.

  • Participate in ongoing research and evaluation of new related technologies.

comScore is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer.  We do a great deal of our testing manually. We automate where we can, and then code those automated scripts using Ruby, JavaScript, or whatever the situation calls for. We’re looking for a great team member with strong manual testing experience to include: cross-browser, Windows & Mac OS (iPhone and Android are OK too!). Testing at the registry level or any router level testing experience would be very attractive as well.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Identify functionality errors and potential risk with new development prior to Production launch
• Identify potential bugs in existing applications and document all issues into the defect tracking system
• Maintain communication channel with software engineers and project managers on current project status
• Assist Software Engineers with basic support in troubleshooting problems in development and production
• Understand and enforce the software release process for all application development
• Create and execute test suites and verify expected results
• Verify that all software releases conform to company policies on data handling
• Perform both manual and automated tests

Required Skills:
• 4+ years of software testing experience
• Thorough understanding of http and internet protocols
• Experience creating and executing test cases
• Hands on experience writing automation scripts

  • Backups and restores (transaction log & database level)

Qualifications:

 

  • BS degree in an analytical related field. Master’s degree and/or Post education professional experience a must.
  • Knowledge of and practice in statistical data analysis and predictive/decision modeling. Statistical modeling experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience with data manipulation and analysis using SQL and/or SAS/Other Statistical Software.
  • Strong analytical / critical thinking and innovation skills.
  • Interest and experience in the Financial Services industry is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree and  8 years professional sales experience, or advanced degree and at least 6 years of professional sales experience
  • A highly aggressive and analytical sales professional with a proven track record of success in closing new client sales and cultivating client relationships
  • Specific experience managing or selling audience measurement, advertising effectiveness measurement services and/or custom research solutions to media companies, publishers, advertisers and  advertising agencies
