Job Description

This individual should have a passion for defining and leading operations teams. This person will lead comScore's digital operations teams, supporting mobile measurement products in multiple markets and ultimately scale data solutions to meet market demands. This role requires leading and coaching others, hands on data analysis, daily creative problem solving, driving new solutions, and above all, delivering against comScore's operations objectives. Self-motivation, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills are must haves. You will need to be comfortable working in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities, vague requirements, and rapid iterations. About our team:

Were a small but powerful team of data junkies, analyzing over 20 TB of data each day to deliver product and research solutions to our clients. Duties and responsibilities:

Define and deliver against operations objectives, supporting both US and INTL markets across many mobile measurement products. Test new concepts and integrate into a scalable operations environment. Participate in ongoing research and evaluation of new technologies. Exercise your experience in the development lifecycle through analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of this system. Collaborate with teams in Software Engineering, Stats, and Product Management to deliver timely and quality data. You will be the knowledge expert, delivering quality data to our clients.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of direct leadership and career coaching in a data driven position.
  • Ability to autonomously lead and manage simultaneous projects in a fast paced business environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written and computer communication skills with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work closely in a collaborative role with other team members as well as complete tasks individually as assigned.
  • Experience in data analysis and creative problem solving with big data.

This position plays an integral role in ensuring the success of the Analytical Solutions team as a revenue generating unit. JOB FUNCTION

 

The Data Scientist is part of the Statistical Operations and Data Science team that provides internal services to building and maintaining the data science methodologies comprising comScore’s projection system for national television, local television, OnDemand, and digital viewership in a cross-platform measurement service. This position is expected to have a particularly significant role in comScore’s measurement of Linear Television. In this role, the Data Scientist will work closely with other members of the Statistical Operations and Data Science team to work with large amounts of tune-level linear television data to build algorithms, tools, and custom projection solutions for precise cross-platform measurement using large-scale data sets in a fast-paced business environment. The Data Scientist will investigate and diagnose potential internally- and externally-facing issues, and design technology improvements to the projection system to improve the way that supports comScore leading cross-platform measurement products. This position will require working across other functional teams to meet the internal and external demands of the business.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


•Independently identify appropriate data science techniques and projection methodologies that will be used to support comScore’s cross-platform measurement products, and answer technical and business questions.
•Build algorithms, tools, custom solutions, and new technologies from diverse and large-scale data sets to enhance comScore’s measurement products, or contribute to new products.
•Maintain existing algorithms, tools, solutions, and methodologies contributing to comScore’s existing measurement products.
•Build custom solutions to meet internal and client needs for cross-platform measurement.
•Work closely with other functional teams, including Software Engineering, Product Management, Data Operations, Client Accounts Managers, and Sales Teams to develop and maintain the methodologies contributing to comScore’s cross-platform measurement services.

As a Senior Product Management Analyst on our Consumer Mobile Apps team, you'll be responsible for managing a variety of applications which provide everyday value to millions of people around the world who agree to share information with join comScore's consumer panels. This role provides an opportunity to work with a variety of other departments throughout comScore, as well as external partners, to deliver high quality experiences to our panelists and add value to comscore. The primary area of your focus will initially be in the mobile space, working to manage a series of mobile applications on iOS and Android in a large number of global markets, that will help us attract and retain panelists who help contribute to our data. 

 

What You'll Do In This Role:

  • Collaborate closely with the technology, panel recruiting, analytics and product teams to manage requirements, timelines and prioritization across a number of new and ongoing initiatives focused primarily on the mobile space
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap for each initiative
  • Work with technology teams and partners to make regular enhancements to products based on corporate priorities
  • Maintain a backlog of product feature requests and prioritization
  • Act as an internal champion for our panelists, balancing their needs with comScore's measurement and business requirements

What You'll Need:

  • 2-4 years of professional experience working as a Product Manager or related role in the mobile app space
  • Experience working to develop utility, security or panelist related applications is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clear requirements to internal and external teams, including experience working with engineering teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage feature release priorities and timelines
  • Experience managing SDK development a plus, with a well-developed understanding of the Android and iOS software platforms, features and capabilities

Analyst/Senior Data Analyst, Panel Sciences

 

 

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst role with experience analyzing large data sets focusing on data sampling and analysis. In this role, you will serve as a primary owner of the sampling and projection methodology for reporting comScore's panel data and will be a key point of contact for questions and issues that arise around data production this means great visibility for you.

 

You will be a key resource for production tasks, and will develop a thorough understanding of our sampling and weights generation process. This is not an engineering role, though some coding is needed from time to time. Rather, this role is going to utilize all of your analytical and data reporting experience. You will need to effectively communicate across internal teams in a positive and professional manner, as you will have access to people at high levels of the organization on a regular basis.

 

Location: Reston, VA

 

Essential duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Support the comScore teams by providing in-depth knowledge of the weights process and field questions that arise about methodology or data.
  • Investigate potential data issues found in comScores syndicated reports and work efficiently with other internal departments to get problems resolved, propose solutions and implement future safeguards.
  • Develop and implement new or improved processes for sample selection and projection.
  • Will have a good understanding of the market, methodology, and technology that make up each of the products in the product suite.
  • You’ll be an internal expert on how we present projections and weights to clients.

 

Required Skills:

 

  • Proficiency in BASE SAS, specifically in the SAS macro environment. Reading and de-bugging SAS is more critical to us than pure coding in SAS.
  • SQL query experience and proficiency with numbers/statistics.
  • You should be well-versed in writing queries, joins, select statements and stored procedure development.
  • Experience with Internet Market Research data or panel-based data would be preferred, but not necessary.
  • Strong analytic skills that include analysis design/execution, data analysis and problem solving with large amounts of data.
  • Bachelors degree in a quantitative subject such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, etc.3 - 5 years professional experience, preferably in a data analysis role.
  • Ability to autonomously manage simultaneous projects.
  • Python experience preferred.
