JOB TITLE:      PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER

LOCATION:      NEW YORK, NY

REPORTS TO:  VICE PRESIDENT, CORPORATE MARKETING

JOB FUNCTION:

The Public Relations Manager is responsible for creating and implementing internal and external corporate communications and media relations efforts and strategy in support of comScore's mission to measure what matters to make audiences, consumer behavior and advertising more valuable. A member of the Corporate Communications branch of the overall Corporate Marketing team, the Public Relations Manager will report directly to the VP, Corporate Communications and work closely with the Executive Leadership, Product, Sales, Investor Relations and Corporate teams to translate key messages about comScore's products, initiatives, people, culture and values with internal and external audiences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLILITIES:

  • Manage development and execution of communications strategies for a range of external and internal materials, including public/media relations and internal communications best practices and protocolsDevelop and maintain relationships with key media figures across broadcast, print and digital outlets
  • Develop and deliver strategic, customized pitches for various media outlets based on individual corporate and product initiatives
  • Keep up-to-date with business/industry trends within the media, advertising and entertainment sectorsSupport executive communications needs for internal and external audiences including development of content, presentations and talking points consistent with overall corporate messagingManage and provide recommendations for corporate memberships, programs and services related to overall corporate initiatives
  • Support Investor Relations efforts, as neededCandidate  
  • Be able to apply creative executions to an overall strategyInfluence internal and external stakeholders using a thoughtful communication plan in presenting and defending ideas and recommendations
  • Collaborate well in a team environment, but also take initiative and work independently

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7-10 years of previous relevant industry experience, with at least 5 years of corporate communications/media relations experience
  • B.A. Communications, Public Relations or related field
  • Proven experience building and leading internal communications and working collaboratively with a broad range of internal partners in a large, geographically dispersed organizationFunctional communication skills in key areas such as public relations, speech writing, and community engagement
  • Proven ability to significantly influence internal and external stakeholders using a thoughtful communication plan to align people or groups

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Marketing Insights Analyst will support the company's goals through a range of important marketing insights and communications functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for bringing comScore’s unique data-driven insights to market, leveraging comScore’s syndicated and custom research tools to. This analyst will:

  • Use comScore data to conduct innovative research and deliver market-relevant insights in support of product development and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Lead the regular publication of comScore’s syndicated market rankings in areas such as digital media, mobile, and video.
  • Play role in planning, outlining, and developing unique insights content for comScore’s reports, presentations, and white papers.
  • Actively engage with comScore’s syndicated data sets to surface interesting findings and insights that help demonstrate the value of our products to clients.
  • Become subject matter proficient on a variety of topics, including digital consumer trends, social media, e-commerce, mobile, digital video, and TV in order to provide insight and analysis to journalists and other industry observers.
  • Assist with various marketing communications functions, including the development and dissemination of press releases, blog posts and other written communications.
  • Proactively pitch data, insights, stories and announcements to journalists to maximize awareness and media exposure for comScore.
  • Work closely with leading technology and media journalists to incorporate comScore data and/or industry experts in their articles.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (including product management, product marketing and sales teams) to devise marketing strategies that support sales objectives.
  • Edit communications content and provide review/approval of client communications content that cites comScore.
  • Use various marketing analytics tools for internal reporting purposes.
  • Become an expert in using comScore’s syndicated measurement tools.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree from a selective university
  • Experience and/or strong interest in the technology, media or digital advertising industries strongly preferred
  • A high intellect individual who combines analytical excellence, razor-sharp communication skills and an ability to cultivate outstanding relationships with journalists and clients
  • Direct experience with syndicated research tools such as comScore Media Metrix strongly preferred
  • A proven track record of success in delivering measurable results
  • Flexibility and ability to work fast under tight deadlines with demanding quality requirements
  • Must be expert in all Microsoft Office applications and knowledgeable about technology and digital consumer behavior

comScore is looking for a new Marketing Associate / Manager who will manage and execute outbound marketing activities to support their business in China.

TITLE: Corporate Marketing Associate / Manager (1-Year Contract)

LOCATION: Beijing, China

REPORTS TO: Director Corporate Marketing, Asia Pacific

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We love insights and want the world to see what is possible with our data. You will be responsible for supporting global and regional marketing programs and campaigns, and managing the local marketing budget accordingly.

comScore’s marketing activities and tactics in China include: public relations, digital and social media marketing, event marketing, insights content, MarCom, e-mail campaigns and webinars. Next to managing these activities, you will be expected to evaluate the results, including the analysis of data.

  • Understanding sales targets in China, by product and renewal/new, and track performance against targets.
  • Working closely with local Sales teams.
  • Understanding comScore’s markets, competition and client base in China.
  • Feeding competitive intelligence from local market into Marketing teams.
  • Working with Sales to ensure that there is a comprehensive, segmented and up-to-date database of clients, leads, prospects, press and key industry influencers in China.
  • Providing awareness of comScore’s global marketing initiatives: corporate stories, product marketing programs and brand messaging.
  • Understanding longer term corporate goals regarding revenue, positioning and tactics.
  • Adopting and using comScore’s marketing systems and processes to execute effectively.
  • Managing and supporting English and Chinese translations and proofreading with external translation house and Sales across all marketing materials.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years in the marketing field, preferably in the digital, agency, media, market research, analytics or technology industry.
  • Experience in a B2B environment and multinational organisation is a plus.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. Experience with ‘Allocadia’, ‘Eloqua’ and/or ‘Salesforce’ is a plus.
  • Prior experience in managing campaigns, budgets, external vendors, shared team resources and marketing team members.
  • Ability to understand and perform data analysis.
  • Culturally sensitive, with the ability to converse with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders across geographies and time zones.
  • The willingness to occasionally travel for work.
