Job Title:  Statistical Analyst Intern

Location:  Reston, VA

Reports to:  Statistical Analyst or Manager

 

 

 

WHAT DO YOU DO AS A STATISTICAL ANALYST INTERN AT COMSCORE?

 

In this role, you’ll be responsible for partnering with comScore analysts in developing and maintaining statistical models that provide deep insights in understanding online audiences and advertising campaigns. You’ll have visibility that you will not get at other organizations, including working directly withsenior analytics professionals and leadership executives.

  • You have strong understanding of probability distributions and know how to apply this knowledge in solving business problems.

WHAT DO YOU DO DAY TO DAY?

  • Work directly with our SVP Research and Methods to:
    • Analyze information obtained from management in order to conceptualize and define operational problems
    • Formulate mathematical or simulation models of these problems
    • Prepare management reports defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions
  • Undertake the operational and technical aspects of processing information and data analysis in areas relevant to the work area (understanding audience and campaign measurement)
  • Contribute to the development of processes, procedures, methodologies and systems relevant to the work area, including preparation of appropriate documentation
  • Understand the requirements of internal and external clients and where applicable, liaise, communicate and provide assistance
  • Apply knowledge and maintain awareness of issues for providing advice in areas of expertise
  • Research conceptual and methodological issues and recommend/implement improvement based on research.

 

 WHAT CORE SKILLS WILL SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS:

  • Working towards degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or other Quantitative Analytics required, masters strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of statistical tools / model building and their application to solve business initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Programming experience in one or more of the following preferred- SAS,Matlab, R, or WinBugs.   Deep enough skill to write queries extract data and pull together concise, detailed reports.   Experience with SQL also a strong plus

Job Title: Product Marketing Intern
Location: Portland, OR

 

JOB FUNCTION

 

Are you looking for an internship that will give you a great beginning to your career?  Do you have a passion for market research, TV and cross-platform media, data analysis and working marketing and advertising strategies?

 

The Product Marketing Intern will help manage the roll-out of new products and marketing campaigns for core business units. Support sales collateral overall through management of cross-functional process. Write and edit marketing collateral including sales decks, presentations, product overview sheets, web copy, whitepapers, etc.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:  

 

  • Assist in creation and edits of messaging for product one-sheets, sales decks and web pages as well as some content campaigns
  • Manage timelines of all assigned projects
  • Manage creative and review process for assigned projects
  • Assist product marketing team with special projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Minimum of Junior or Senior grade level college undergraduate, pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Proficient in MS Outlook and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • Effective written and verbal skills
  • Organization skills including ability to manage time and prioritize projects
  • Ability to multitask
  • Pays close attention to detail
  • Analytical skills
  • Strong collaboration and people skills
