Analyst or Senior Analyst, Cross-Platform Insights (Data Driven)

JOB TITLE: ANALYST LOCATION:  NEW YORKREPORTS TO:  MANAGER, CROSS PLATFORM INSIGHTS

JOB FUNCTION:

 You must be a creative, dedicated and organized data nerd who is passionate about data accuracy and process efficiency. In this role, you will become an expert in comScore's Cross-Platform (TV + Digital) suite by analyzing big data, diagnosing potential issues, designing process improvements, and collaborating across different functional teams. The work you produce will have direct impact towards driving business strategies for prominent media leaders. Day-to-day your focus will be in data analysis, design, and development of Cross-Platform audience measurement products. You will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, vague requirements, and rapid iterations. In this role, youll have visibility that you will not get at other organizations, including working directly with executive leaders. Problems You Will Help Solve: What, where, when, and how do people consume TV content? Which networks, sites, and platforms are changing the behavior of consumer video consumption? How and where is traditional TV viewing shifting towards internet connected devices? What is the total audience for publishers with fragmented content across TV, computer, and mobile?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage in a wide range of project assignments such as: developing automation of QA checks, evaluating, manipulating and interpreting data, assisting with product design, answering ad-hoc requests and supporting product and analytics teams with data and insights
  • Manage multiple data investigations concurrently, escalate data issues when appropriate and navigate through internal teams easily
  • Lead and work efficiently across engineering, operations and product management teams to deliver results
  • Clearly manage and communicate project timelines and specifications with internal stakeholders
  • Identify areas for process improvement; proactively and creatively implement solutions
  • Demonstrate leadership and enthusiasm with peers and clients, even in demanding situations
  • Foster a climate that encourages open communication and trust

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
  • 2 - 5 years of analytical experience
  • Working knowledge of Alteryx, SAS, or other analytical software, as well as SQL or other programming language required
  • Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros, VBA etc.) and PowerPoint skills required
  • Experience with front-end development like JS, Qlik etc. a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and work effectively with colleagues and clients in diverse departments, geographic locations, and time zones
  • Proven proficiency with numbers and statistics, experience in extracting and analyzing large amounts of data, and an ability to consolidate and translate that data into business insight
  • Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and goal-oriented coupled with a positive attitude
  • Fast learner, who works well within a team or autonomously
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
