87% of UK Online Audience Could be Tempted by Travel Ads

In the UK, advertisers in the Travel sector placed nearly 3.1 billion display ad impressions during March 2012, reaching 87 percent of the total internet audience and accounting for 4.5 percent of all display ad impressions served.

TUI Travel PLC ranked as the top online advertiser in the category with over 353.4 million display ad impressions delivered, accounting for 11.4 percent of ads from travel companies in the UK. British Airways plc ranked second with 147.3 million display ad impressions (4.8 percent share) and Air France – KLM was the third largest advertiser with 125.1 million display ads (4.1 percent share) in the UK during March 2012.
