Map Usage On Mobile Grew By 40 Percent In France

In France, the use of maps on mobile phones has shown a strong growth as the service gained 40 percent new users over the past year. Map usage on PCs grew at a much smaller rate of 6.2 percent.

Although, the total user numbers show a different story. In May 2011, nearly 6 million mobile users accessed a map compared to 23 million PC users, almost 4 times as many.
The services most used on mobile as well as from PCs were Google Maps, Mappy and ViaMichelin.
