The Irish Times Leads Online Newspaper Category in Ireland
In Ireland, newspaper sites reached more than 75 percent of the total internet audience in August 2011. The online presence of The Irish Times was the leading site in the category attracting 666,000 unique visitors during the month. Independent.ie ranked second attracting 579,000 unique visitors followed by the largest British and US newspapers, such as Mail Online, The Guardian and The New York Times.
