Germany Top 20 March 2014

March 2014 highlights:

  • In March 2014, there were more than 58 million desktop and laptop internet users in Germany, 80% of whom also watched videos online.
  • Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, the only financial institution among the Top 20, has experienced the strongest year-on-year growth on PC: 11.4 million people made use of online Sparkassen offerings in March 2014, equaling an increase of +12%.
  • Google Sites (including YouTube) remain on top of Germany’s online video rankings and maintain strong viewer penetration levels. In March 2014, 4 out of 5 online video viewers consumed videos on YouTube.
  • YouTube Partner network Fullscreen entered the Online Video rankings at position #13, attracting more than 5.3 million viewers in March 2014.
