JOB TITLE:          AdEffx CLIENT INSIGHTS DIRECTOR
LOCATION:         NEW YORK, NY
REPORTS TO:     SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT 
 
BASIC FUNCTION:

 

This Director will take charge of comScore’s relationships with agency, advertiser and publisher AdEffx clients with the support from the AdEffx Client Insights team. The Director and team will coordinate and deliver superior client service to these firms including product training, timely/informative responses to client inquiries, and sensitivity to clients’ business objectives/goals. In addition, the Director will manage and work with the team to analyze comScore data and deliver strategic consulting services and business insights to these clients, with an eye toward expanding revenue opportunities.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:


• Manage the AdEffx Client Insights team, providing them with the support and training needed to deliver superior client service to their clients
• Become an expert in comScore Ad Effectiveness products and custom market research projects and capabilities. Leverage this expertise to support the sales and client service teams, respond to client inquiries and provide feedback to the product team.
• Ensure that the AdEffx Client Insights team delivers exceptional client service support to clients, including providing product training, sending timely/informative responses to client inquiries, and demonstrating sensitivity to clients’ business objectives/goals. Lead by example, providing this level of support to clients directly and training the team to be able to do so. • Provide ongoing deliveries of comScore data that are high in quality and accuracy. Help clients understand the data that is provided and gain business value from it. Train the team to develop insightful analyses from the data that go beyond just reporting the numbers.
• Understand clients’ business needs and ensure that the service and reporting provided to them meets these needs.
• Incubate new products; help improve existing products to meet clients’ needs more effectively by working closely with the product team • Help sales to manage contract renewals with clients. Help upsell additional services for existing projects as well as new projects to meet client needs
 
QUALIFICATIONS:


• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or quantitative field.
• 7+ years of work experience including mentoring or managing a team; Experience training new employees
• Work experience that is analytical in nature is important. Fundamental understanding of the digital advertising industry required

• Proven proficiency with numbers and statistics, experience in analyzing large amounts of data, and an ability to consolidate and translate that data into business insight; Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills a must
• Project management skills, including the abilities to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and work effectively with colleagues and clients in diverse departments, geographic locations, and time zones
• Ability to present findings to large audiences and provide actionable insights
• Experience determining customer requirements and coordinating with product development is a plus
• Proven ability to independently manage and develop ongoing client relationships • Excellent communication skills, including both written and verbal
• Pro-active, independent thinker with high energy/positive attitude • Flexible work style, able to interact effectively with peers in a team-oriented operating structure or to operate independently depending on the task
• Self-motivated, fast learner that can deal with rapidly changing products and client needs; Strong problem-solving skills

JOB DESCRIPTIONESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:    

 

  • Build custom solutions to meet market needs for measurement that help clients solve new problems and better understand audiences and their advertising efforts    Participate in ongoing research and evaluation of new technologies.  
  • Develop methodology and create measurement solutions for emerging digital platforms new products. Understanding core products by researching industry trends, knowing the base data used in all delivered reports, and keeping track of current and potential clients.  
  • Ensuring all deadlines and responsibilities are met.  Effectively understanding and conveying the business issues and data challenges of both internal and external clients, as well as the industry as a whole.
  • Translating questions and problems from clients into an analysis and solutions.
  • Utilizing current industry trends in order to create new analyses and products that are useful to clients.    
  • Collaborate with teams in Software Engineering, Operations, and Product Management to deliver timely and quality data. You will be the knowledge expert, delivering quality data to our clients.    M
  • Meeting with external clients as needed. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:    

 

  • Bachelors degree in a quantitative subject such as Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, etc.  
  • 2-4 Years of Experience in data analysis and problem solving with big data    
  • Experience with SQL or knowledge of relational databases and methods for efficiently retrieving data    
  • Ability to think creatively and solve complex problems    
  • Ability to autonomously manage simultaneous projects in a fast paced business environment    
  • Excellent verbal, written and computer communication skills with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills    
  • The nature of the teams dynamics will require an individual that is able to work closely in a collaborative role with other team members, as well as complete tasks individually as assigned.

 

Preferred:    

  • Experience with hands-on coding from scratch.    
  • Experience with panel data and/or Internet behavior data.    
  • Experience with Unix and Bash Scripting.    
  • Advertising industry experience.

JOB FUNCTION
The Senior Software Engineer delivers solutions to internal and external customers. This includes the design, modification, development and implementation of software programming applications. Additionally, the Senior Software Engineer may lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected, as well as an understanding of business needs and requirements.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Modifies, writes and documents software programming applications.
  • Consults with clients to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features and input and output requirements.
  • Works with stakeholders to understand problem statements and suggest possible implementations.
  • Demonstrates personal ownership and takes accountability for larger assigned tasks.
  • Designs and codes screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, printed outputs and interfaces with other systems.
  • Converts designs and specifications into computer code.

  • Strong background in AngularJS (1.2+, familiarity with 2)
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5 and web fundamentals (HTTP, performance, cross-browser compatibility)
  • Good understanding of AJAX and JS DOM manipulation
  • Experience with RESTful APIs (able to work cooperatively with a back-end developers creating an API to service a front-end application)
