Germany Top 20 October 2014

October 2014 highlights:

  • In October 2014, Germany’s 55.8 million Unique Visitors spent nearly 87 billion minutes online – a strong Month-on-Month increase of 7%. 84% of all users who consumed online content via PC or laptop also watched online videos, marking a 2014 record in Germany.
  • Although maintaining its #5 position in the Top 20 Online Property rankings, Amazon’s audience growth of 7% further closed the gap to competitor eBay (ranked at #4), with only 250.000 users separating the two leading retail portals.
  • Driven by noticeable increases in traffic for its regional constituents BR.de, SWR.de and WDR.de, Germany’s public service broadcaster ARD Sites re-entered the Top 20 at rank #17, now reaching more than 11.6 million Unique Visitors in October 2014.
  • ProSiebenSat1 Sites’ content and ad videos reached 29% of all German video viewers. Its strong performance in October 2014 resulted in a higher position in the Top Video Property rankings (now #3 in Germany).
