Reporting to the Senior Director, Revenue Accounting, the Manager of Revenue will be responsible for supporting the global revenue team in overseeing the transformation of the revenue teams monthly close process including the process of booking contracts and other related close tasks. We are in the need of a Lead Statistical Analyst in our Reston, VA location. 

    The ideal candidate is a dedicated person with team leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to distill technical concepts down for non-technical audiences. The job requires leading a team of statisticians and analysts to improve the way we measure Internet and digital audiences while working closely across other analytic and product teams.

    Responsibilities:

    • This is a technical position requiring analytical and market research expertise; experience working with very large data sets is preferred.
    • Project and task leadership responsibilities in guiding junior statistical staff as well as members of other teams.
    • Ability to communicate effectively across internal teams and stakeholders with a wide variety of statistical backgrounds on a regular cadence.
    • Willingness to work across teams to meet internal and external deadlines.

    Qualifications:

    • Masters Degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Social Sciences or similar degree with a focus on statistical methodology (PhD preferred but not required).
    • 4+ years of current professional experience with at least two years of management.
    • Programming experience in R or python (R strongly preferred).
    • Proficient in SQL querying
    • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
    • Ability to autonomously manage multiple projects simultaneously, in a rapidly changing environment.
    • Dedication to innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Committed to meeting product specs and timelines across multiple projects

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience working with Big Data Analytics (e.g. Hadoop, SQL, Spark).
    • Familiarity with agent based modeling, generalized linear models, machine learning (advanced clustering and classification methods), and/or dimension reduction techniques (e.g. principal component analysis)
    • Experience with Digital Market Research.
    • Experience with TV Market Research and Ratings data.
    • Experience leading and managing small teams in production and research environments.
    • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira

    comScore is seeking a Linux systems engineer to join its world-class Open Source Engineering team within IT Operations. The right candidate will provide essential support for comScores critical internal infrastructure, utilities and core services. They will ensure various services and technologies including data collection, enterprise monitoring, MySQL, DNS, domains, and SSL certificates continue to function, deliver, and optimally perform 24/7.

    As we'll be moving toward a hybrid cloud/virtual environment, and experience in VMWare and/or AWS is really a great addition to what we're looking for. 

    What You'll Do In This Role:

    • Perform day-to-day system administration duties on Linux servers across comScore's environments, supporting business-critical systems
    • Respond to and resolve incident tickets and monitoring alerts
    • Automate common procedures used to resolve incidents and monitoring alerts
    • Standardize and document common procedures that cant be easily automated for hand-off to other resources or teams for execution
    • Participate in rotating 24x7 on call schedule of production systems

    What You'll Need In This Role:

    • Fluent in Perl or similar scripting languages for developing Linux applications
    • Fluent in the Linux command line and adept with system administrative tasks on a Redhat Linux platform
    • Experience in Puppet configuration management is preferred
    • Experience collaborating and managing source code with Git
    • Excellent oral, written and computer communication skills with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
    • Able to work closely in a collaborative role with other team members
    • Able to manage day to day tasks while fielding interruptions
    • Self-starter type of individual, willing to take on tasks and ask for help as needed

    Desired Skills:

    • Familiarity with Hadoop and MySQL is preferred, as well as PostGRES
    • Understanding of basic networking and common internet protocols is preferred
    • Experience with AWS or VMWare would be very helpful
