RESTON, VA and SEATTLE, WA, August 12, 2014 – comScore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR), a leader in measuring the digital world, and thePlatform, the leading white-label video publishing company, today announced the integration of comScore’s Digital Analytix into thePlatform’s mpx video publishing system. This integration allows all clients of thePlatform access to an additional layer of dynamic video analytics and reporting within the mpx console. The integration ultimately provides publishers using thePlatform with the data they need to optimize their content creation and advertising strategies.
“We are extremely pleased that thePlatform selected comScore to provide video analytics and reporting to their customers,” said Ade Adeosun, vice president of Digital Enterprise Analytics at comScore. “As content continues to be consumed across a growing number of screens, it’s more critical than ever for publishers to have an understanding of how viewers are interacting with their content and ads. We look forward to working with thePlatform and its clients, providing them with the insights required to make informed decisions about their content and advertising efforts, and ultimately providing a superior experience for their viewers.”
“comScore enables us to give our customers a rich set of analytics and reporting about their videos and related advertising assets,” said Marty Roberts, co-CEO of thePlatform. “Selecting comScore is part of our ongoing commitment to choose industry partners with best-in-class services and technology to serve our clients around the globe.”
As of August 1, 2014, clients of thePlatform’s mpx and mpx Essentials are now able to access the metrics provided by Digital Analytix at no additional cost. Clients can access the dashboard within mpx and mpx Essentials to glean insights about their viewing audiences, content performance and quality of service. By having access to these metrics, thePlatform’s clients will better understand viewer behaviors and preferences, and gain insight about:
- Conversion: What factors improve conversion, such as time-of-day and platform;
- Consumption: The level of consumption happening across different devices on a per-user basis;
- Loyalty: Factors that both increase retention and loyalty; and
- Engagement: The features and events that drive engagement at launch and over time.
