Comscore Releases Top French Web Rankings for December

Christmas Shopping Drives Traffic to Retail and Shipping Sites

Google Sites Ranks as Top Web Property, Followed by Microsoft

Paris, France, January 30, 2008 – Comscore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR), a leader in measuring the digital world, today released its December rankings of the largest and fastest-growing Internet properties and site categories in France based on data from the Comscore World Metrix audience measurement service.

“As we have noted in recent studies, online retail activity increased significantly in France during the Christmas shopping season,” said Delphine Gatignol, Comscore Business Development Manager for France. “This activity is reflected in the December rankings, which show several retail sites and categories among the top gainers for the month.”

Top Gaining Site Categories for December

Retail sites dominated the top-gaining site category rankings for December, led by the Toys category, up 65 percent to 4.9 million visitors. The category was led by Eveiletjeux.com – part of the Groupe PPR property – with 3.3 million visitors (up 39 percent). Other retail-related categories experiencing gains included Fragrances/Cosmetics (up 21 percent to 3.4 million visitors), Sports/Outdoor (up 18 percent to 3.5 million visitors), and Jewelry/Luxury Goods/Accessories (up 12 percent to 2.4 million visitors). The Shipping (up 39 percent to 1.8 million visitors) and e-cards categories (up 34 percent to 4 million visitors) also saw increased activity due to the holiday season.

Top Gaining Properties for December

CenterBlog.net was the top gaining property in December, growing 38 percent to 1.8 million visitors, followed by genealogy property, Notrefamille.com Sites, also up 38 percent to 1.7 million visitors.

Four of the top ten gaining properties came from the online retail sector. Shopzilla.com Sites enjoyed a 32-percent increase to 1.8 million visitors, Groupe LDLC.com grew 13 percent to 3.2 million, Amazon Sites grew 13 percent to 6.8 million, and Ciao Sites also grew 13 percent to 3.8 million visitors.

Top 25 Properties for December

Google Sites maintained its position as the top Web property in France with 20.1 million visitors, reaching 70 percent of the online population. Microsoft Sites ranked second with 18.1 million visitors, followed by Orange Sites with 14.9 million visitors and Iliad/Free.fr Sites with 12.6 million visitors.

Groupe PPR gained two spots in the December ranking, driven by holiday shopping. French Social Networking site Skyrock Network also gained ground, displacing Wikipedia Sites as France’s 9th largest property.
