What You'll Bring With You:

  • In-depth knowledge in defining remote communication methodologies such as web services, WCF, REST preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure theaters are reporting correctly.
  • Ensure that data reported to comScore is correct in the database.
  • Ensure that data reported gets posted to the correct film and then to the correct version of that film.
  • Ensure that data provided to our customers goes out in a timely and complete fashion.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associate's degree (AA) and/or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be comfortable at a *nix shell or a DOS prompt.
  • Must have a basic understanding of SQL and databases.

As a Deliverables Analyst at comScore, you play an integral role in making sure that our deliverable survey data is accurate, and that our clients are receiving the data in a timely manner, as well as the format that is most suitable for their specific needs. This role will utilize your analytical skills, your creativity, and exercise your technical skills as well. This role has a great amount of visibility, stresses teamwork, and allows you to interface with both internal and external users and clients.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 In this role you will:

  • Provide support to the Research and Fielding departments by ensuring data captured through online research is valid and reliable.
  • Ensure data writes to the correct data location
  • Manipulate, consolidate and import/export data files utilizing various software packages
  • Perform various data search/retrieval procedures and maintain/archive data files
  • Monitor projects utilizing various quality control techniques including data comparison and report generation
  • Interface with the Research Department to address inquiries regarding various data files and prepare data files for analysis
  • Utilize knowledge of analytical tools such as SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), SQL
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills
  • Coordinate and ensure timely delivery of all required deliverables to research teams
  • Ensure the department’s conformance to quality and deliverable expectations in accordance with customer and company requirements through metrics reporting. Evaluate workflow and systems to assist in optimizing quality and efficiencies
  • Represent department on cross-functional teams
  • Work on other duties and assignments as outlined by the manager

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Social Sciences and/or relevant quantitative/technical field
  • 1 - 3 years of market research and/or technical experience preferred
  • Previous experience with survey research desired, but it’s not a requirment
  • An aptitude towards technology combined with sharp analytical skills; attention to detail and a data quality
  • Pro-active & creative problem solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills
  • Professional maturity; good organizational skills, and a desire to join a fast-paced environment where your actions can have a direct impact on our business
  • Things that will push you to the front of the line:
  • Knowledge of SPSS/Excel and/or SQL (preferably)
  • Knowledge of Confirm IT or similar survey programming tools
  • Past experience with an online survey research company
  • Experience in handling large data sets.

  • Support the comScore teams by providing in-depth knowledge of the weights process and field questions that arise about methodology or data.Investigate potential data issues found in comScores syndicated reports and work efficiently with other internal departments to get problems resolved, propose solutions and implement future safeguards.
  • Develop and implement new or improved processes for sample selection and projection.
  • Will have a good understanding of the market, methodology, and technology that make up each of the products in the product suite.
  • You will be an internal expert on how we present projections and weights to clients.

 

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in BASE SAS, specifically in the SAS macro environment. Reading and de-bugging SAS is more critical to us than pure coding in SAS. 
  • SQL query experience and proficiency with numbers/statistics.
  • You should be well-versed in writing queries, joins, select statements and stored procedure development.
  • Experience with Internet Market Research data or panel-based data would be preferred, but not necessary.
  • Strong analytic skills that include analysis design/execution, data analysis and problem solving with large amounts of data.
  • Bachelors degree in a quantitative subject such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, etc.
  • 3 - 5 years professional experience, preferably in a data analysis role.
  • Ability to autonomously manage simultaneous projects.

  • Build custom solutions to meet market needs for measurement that help clients solve new problems and better understand audiences and their advertising efforts.
  • Participate in ongoing research and evaluation of new technologies.
