In Q2 2012, the channel shift from bricks and mortar purchases to online appears to be accelerating, as online sales increased by more than 15% this quarter, while offline sales only increased 2%. Other key trends involve social commerce, the importance of the visual web and the increasing use of mobile in e-commerce.   • Facebook and Pinterest are both important influencers of e-commerce but Linkedin attracts the heaviest online buyers
