Client Service Analyst (South San Francisco, CA, United States)

This Analyst will team with senior management to manage comScore’s relationships with clients at top media companies, by managing deliveries of comScore data, helping clients gain business value from that data, and preparing and delivering reports and analyses. This person will enable and provide superior client service to these firms including timely and informative responses to client inquiries, product training and support, and demonstrate sensitivity to clients’ business objectives and goals. Open Source Engineer (Linux Operations) (Chicago, IL, United States)

comScore is seeking someone to join its world-class Open Source Engineering team within IT Operations. The right candidate will provide essential support for comScore’s critical internal infrastructure, utilities and core services. They will ensure various services and technologies including Hadoop, Data Collection, Enterprise Monitoring, MySQL, DNS, Domains, and SSL certificates continue to function, deliver, and optimally perform 24/7.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage comScore’s Hadoop environment
  • Perform day-to-day system administration duties on Linux servers across comScore's environments, supporting business-critical systems.
  • Respond to and resolve incident tickets and monitoring alerts
  • Automate common procedures used to resolve Incidents and monitoring alerts
  • Standardize and document common procedures that can’t be easily automated for hand-off to other resources or teams for execution

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience)
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, webservers and LAN/WAN environments
  • Knowledge of basic OS internals (file systems, storage, process lifecycle, etc)
  • Experience with various Linux distributions (e.g. Redhat/CentOS/Ubuntu)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sales Manager/Director will support the company's goals through a range of business development functions. More specifically, this individual will:
• Develop account prospecting/acquisition strategies to acquire new Retail/Travel clients.
• Uncover and understand the business needs and challenges of prospects; then address these through storytelling, business analysis and recommended use of comScore services.
• Successfully achieve predefined sales and strategic objectives and quotas.
• Forge strong client relationships to solidify comScore as a true consultative partner for business and marketing insights.
• Prepare written documentation required for client presentations and RFPs.
• Support comScore’s marketing activities by developing and delivering case studies and presentations at industry events.
• Communicate project objectives and ensure project validity to comScore’s client service, product management and other internal teams.
• Work both autonomously and within a team setting.
• Regularly report / present detailed customer information for purposes of keeping comScore executives informed, as well as maintaining customer contact and comScore databases (including customer profiles and sales forecasts) current.
• Have the flexibility to travel as needed for prospect presentations (approximately 30% - overnight in some cases, no weekends)

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of bachelor's degree and 8 years professional new business sales experience, or advanced degree and at least 6 years of professional sales experience
• A highly aggressive sales professional with a proven track record of success in closing new client sales
• Specific experience managing or selling advertising effectiveness measurement services and/or custom research solutions to marketing, market research, and advertising agencies
• Direct experience with data-intensive marketing analysis and consulting applications, including working with large datasets for either primary or syndicated market research
• Experience in the Retail or Travel industries a plus
• Understanding of market research (qualitative and quantitative for TV, print, digital) and other related industry knowledge and how information can be applied to help clients achieve their goals
• An understanding of the analytical advertising process within the Retail/Travel industry. Experience calling on Retail/Travel advertisers as a data/research provider, media partner or agency is a plus
• A high intellect individual who combines proven sales ability with analytical excellence, superior communication skills (presentation and written) and an ability to forge strong client relationships
• Highly organized but flexible with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines with demanding quality requirements
• Strong listening skills

Financial Analyst (Reston, VA, United States)

This Analyst will team with both the Treasury and FP&A departments to help manage corporate cash and financial planning functions. Daily tasks could include administering, monitoring and reporting on the daily cash management transactions, as well as collecting, researching and analyzing corporate expense and revenue data. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Manages daily, weekly and monthly cash position; prepares intercompany transfers as needed
  • Prepares monthly expense analysis reports that highlight the key drivers for variances vs. the Budget, prior Forecast and prior months
  • Assists with the cash and expense forecasting process
  • Maintains the corporate bank account database
  • Helps update Adaptive Planning tool with monthly actual results
  • Prepares/maintains the quarterly capital lease schedules
  • Opens/closes bank accounts and helps resolve operational banking issues
  • Work with Department Heads to prepare their annual budget
  • Prepares borrowing notices and maintains debt schedule

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in business administration, accounting, finance or equivalent field required
  • 1-3 years of work experience that includes Accounting, Finance or Treasury related experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills required along with the ability to properly communicate analysis to various organizational levels
  • Experience in corporate cash management, FP&A or treasury management systems a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously
