• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field

Job Function:

 

A Data Analyst for CMS Product Operations will support team and organizational goals by providing industry knowledge, analytical thinking, and solid leadership.  Working as part of the Custom Analytics department within the company, this individual will work hands-on with the vast array of comScore data assets to maintain data quality, analyze data trends, champion data driven insights on online consumer behavior, and expand current product offerings.  Additionally, this individual will work within a creative environment, to manipulate data, statistically analyze data and convey findings to stakeholders.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Taking ownership of exposing team to different data sources, methods, etc.
  • Ensuring all deadlines and responsibilities are met.
  • Effectively understanding and conveying the business issues and data challenges of both internal and external clients, as well as the industry as a whole
  • Translating questions and problems from clients into an analysis and solutions.
  • Performing in-depth, cross-team feasibility checks.
  • Utilizing current industry trends in order to create new analyses and products that are useful to clients.
  • Becoming an expert in comScore Marketing Solutions products as well as comScore’s syndicated product suite.
  • Successfully coordinating between multiple internal teams and third-party data vendors to create and fully realize a new product or suite of reports.
  • Preserving quality data by implementing team-wide standard and independent QA processes, maintaining proprietary data collection programs, and resolving any data anomalies.
  • Understanding core products by researching industry trends, knowing the base data used in all delivered reports, and keeping track of current and potential clients.
  • Meeting with external clients as needed.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • BS degree in an analytical related field.
  • Masters degree and/or Post education professional experience a must.
  • Experience with data manipulation and analysis using SQL, PostgreSQL, PIG and/or SAS/Other Statistical Software.
  • Knowledge of xpath, regex, html experience with Visual Basic is a plus
  • Proven proficiency with numbers and statistics, experience in analyzing large amounts of data, and an ability to consolidate and translate that data into business insight
  • Strong analytical/critical thinking and innovation skills.
  • Self-motivated, fast learner, creative, team player willing to help others
  • Flexible and able to work fast under tight deadlines with demanding quality requirements
  • Project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous management experience is preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Individually manage sales across a wide list of key clients as well as generate new business from existing customers and prospective clients.
  • Lead discovery sessions to identify the customer’s key needs and pain points.
  • Work with the prospect in a consultative fashion to develop a digital strategy vision and position comScore’s offering as an instrumental part of that vision.
  • Conduct storytelling product demonstrations that highlight the value the solution brings to the client
  • Consistently deliver individual sales targets every quarter
  • Guide the expansion of comScore’s analytics solution suite across all industry sectors, including but not limited to publishers and advertisers
  • Develop solid, strategic relationships with key decision makers at targeted accounts as well as internal account relationship stakeholders
  • Develop a strong understanding of the client’s business and demonstrate how the comScore’s Digital Analytix offerings can assist them to achieve their business objectives

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A highly motivated consultative sales professional with a proven track record of success in enterprise software sales;
  • 2-3 years minimum direct sales experience with enterprise software solution sales required, with sales of web analytics or business intelligence software and services strongly preferred 
  • Previous experience as a sales engineer or pre-sales consultant supporting an enterprise software solution highly desired
  • Strong understanding of digital analytics solutions as well as primary and secondary research and how this information can be applied to help client’s to achieve their goals
  • Direct experience selling enterprise software services as a solution suite is a big plus, particularly as these solutions can be integrated with applications such as e-mail marketing, CRM, search keyword management, performance measurement, etc.
  • Experience with hosted solutions in selling software as a services (SaaS), specific to the analytics space
  • Relentless work ethic and a desire to learn a new skill set, develop additional expertise and create the future of digital business analytics
  • Familiarity with page tagging and census data collection methods a plus

As one of our SQL Database Developers, you will support existing code and databases and develop new systems for internet traffic analytics and reporting. You'll work alongside the .Net development team to analyze, design and deliver requirements from the Software Engineering, Analytics, Panel and Operations teams. 

 

 

Qualities you'll bring to comScore:

 

  • 3-5+ years of SQL database development experience in a VLDBs and multi server production environment, current experience with SQL 2005/2008
  • Excellent statistical analysis skills, ability to research and analyze various different types of data information
  • Must also be able to make decisions when under deadlines
  • Communicate effectively and maintain honest and open communication at all times with individuals at all levels internally
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours (if necessary) to accomplish business objectives
  • The nature of the team dynamics will require an individual that is able to work closely in a collaborative role with other team members, as well as complete tasks individually as assigned
