JOB FUNCTION:

 

This Analyst will help support comScore's relationships with network client companies by managing deliveries of comScore data, helping clients gain business value from that data, and preparing and delivering reports and analyses. This person will provide superior client service to these firms including timely and informative responses to client inquiries, product training and support, and demonstrate sensitivity to clients business objectives and goals with the guidance of their manager. In addition, this Analyst will assist in analyzing comScore data and delivering strategic consulting services and business insights to these clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: 

  • Deliver exceptional client service support to leading media clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams, working together to keep projects on track and resolving issues as they arise
  • Deliver custom reports and analyses that address clients business questions and goals, including conducting industry and web site research, performing data quality assurance checks and investigations, analyzing large amounts of data, researching changes in trends, preparing spreadsheet reports and slide presentations, and presenting findings to existing clients in order to deliver strategic consulting services and business insights
  • Support ongoing deliveries of comScore data; help clients understand data and gain business value from it

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelors Degree in quantitative or technical field 1-2 years of work experience that includes analytical experience.  
  • Proven proficiency with numbers and statistics, experience in analyzing large amounts of data, and an ability to consolidate and translate that data into business insight
  • Project management skills, including the abilities to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and work effectively with colleagues and clients in diverse departments, geographic locations, and time zones
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills a must
  • Solid communication skills, including both written and verbal Strong problem-solving skills

Were a small but powerful team of data junkies, analyzing over 20 TB of data each day to deliver product and research solutions to our clients. We use SQL, Hadoop, Python, and many other tools every day. We work with Product Management on what problems to solve and collaborate with Engineering and Stats teams to solve problems. We use tools like Slack and Trello to communicate effectively, and occasionally make fun of each other. We love to learn and love tackling hard problems.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

 

Develop methodology and create new products. Test new concepts and integrate into production process. Build custom solutions to meet market needs for audience measurement reporting. Participate in ongoing research and evaluation of new technologies. Exercise your experience in the development lifecycle through analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of this system. Collaborate with teams in Software Engineering, Operations, and Product Management to deliver timely and quality data. You will be the knowledge expert, delivering quality data to our clients.

 

Qualifications:

 

 

  • Bachelors degree in a quantitative subject such as Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, etc.
  • Experience in data analysis and problem solving with big data.

  • Experience with SQL or knowledge of relational databases and methods for efficiently retrieving data.

The Data Scientist is part of the Statistical Operations and Data Science team that provides internal services to building and maintaining the data science methodologies comprising comScore’s projection system for national television, local television, OnDemand, and digital viewership in a cross-platform measurement service. This position is expected to have a particularly significant role in comScore’s measurement of Linear Television. In this role, the Data Scientist will work closely with other members of the Statistical Operations and Data Science team to work with large amounts of tune-level linear television data to build algorithms, tools, and custom projection solutions for precise cross-platform measurement using large-scale data sets in a fast-paced business environment. The Data Scientist will investigate and diagnose potential internally- and externally-facing issues, and design technology improvements to the projection system to improve the way that supports comScore leading cross-platform measurement products. This position will require working across other functional teams to meet the internal and external demands of the business.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


•Independently identify appropriate data science techniques and projection methodologies that will be used to support comScore’s cross-platform measurement products, and answer technical and business questions.
•Build algorithms, tools, custom solutions, and new technologies from diverse and large-scale data sets to enhance comScore’s measurement products, or contribute to new products.
•Maintain existing algorithms, tools, solutions, and methodologies contributing to comScore’s existing measurement products.

QUALIFICATIONS


•Requires a BA/BS in Statistics, Mathematics, or related field; Master’s or Ph.D. degree preferred.
•2-4 years of relevant data science experience; comScore or other media measurement experience can be included.
•Experience in building data science methodologies and custom data solutions for quantitative data measurement.
•General familiarity with media industry and practices (theatrical, television, home entertainment, advertising, cross-platform, etc.); existing background in media, television, or cross-platform measurement services preferred.
•Experience in data analysis and problem solving with large amounts of data; strong knowledge of SAS and SQL programming preferred.
•Strong Excel skills.

Manage all marketing and process documentation related to the partnership, making updates as needed.
• Track key engagement and utilization metrics for each strategic alliance. Outline performance objectives and communicate progress against these objectives to internal stakeholders on a quarterly basis. Set long term goals and track progress against those goals.
• Be the expert in comScore Advertising Effectiveness products and capabilities. Speak to the technical and methodological components at a high level and know when to bring in the technical experts. Stay up to date on product updates to be able to identify gaps and improvements that can be made to current implementations. Leverage this expertise to drive product advisory board initiatives.

    • Manage payroll and accounts payable teams
    • Ensure teams meets month-end and quarterly financial close deadlines

    • Provide support, training, mentoring, and development to staff to ensure the department performs efficiently

    • Manage continuous improvement of procure-to-pay processes and systems that will scale to meet our growth

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 10+ years of diversified experience across payroll, procurement, accounts payable and accounting operations
