Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Policy, the Senior Accountant Reporting and Policy will be responsible for ensuring the accurate recording of complex revenue transactions related to the Company’s service offerings in accordance with US GAAP. The Senior Accountant will be a part of a dynamic reporting and policy team involved with all technical accounting and reporting responsibilities. Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and account for complex revenue contracts entered into by the Company
  • Draft technical memos to support analysis of revenue contract accounting
  • Support the implementation of the new revenue recognition standard
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Prepare equity accounting work papers as part of month end close
  • Assist in the preparation of position papers for ad hoc technical accounting issues

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Product Development – identify local market characteristics and requirements and transform those into succinct product enhancements, new product initiatives while closely working with the US product leads.
  • External Sales Support – Join local sales teams as the product expert to assess the feasibility of all technical aspects, provide technical guidance, and present an appropriate solution.
  • Internal Sales Support – being a product / technical Q&A hub for sales reps, creating and presenting product trainings for reps and new hires, FAQ, documentation, etc.
  • Responsible for technical POCs.
  • Responsible for the strategic plan, execution, and success of a customer’s integration.
  • Provide on-site training with the customer for product APIs and UIs.
  • Lead technical troubleshooting efforts for existing clients ensuring prompt and proper resolution or escalation to other teams.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders across departments (especially Sales, Product Management, Operations), geographic locations, and time zones.
  • Create and maintain product documentation for internal and external clients.
  • Analyze data and industry trends to drive product enhancements.

 

 

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years with at least 3 years of professional experience in product management, product operations, sales engineering or similar role.
  • BA/BSc or equivalent/higher level of education in Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science or a related technical field is strongly preferred.
  • Fluent in English
  • Deep understanding of the global and especially local digital advertising ecosystem.
  • Strong experience of online advertising technologies and integration techniques involving agencies / trading desks, digital publishers, and all platforms in between (DSP, DMP, SSP, exchanges, networks).
  • Skilled communicator that has the ability to both talk tech with developers yet also effectively communicate with sales and marketing teams, for example discuss solutions to a problem or describe a product or feature in non-technical terms that anyone can understand.
  • Technological empathy - understand what the client wants which might be different to what the client says. Understand how to deliver what the client needs to solve a problem and to generate value.
  • Comfortable speaking and presenting to clients and leading a technical discussion on a whiteboard while boiling down a complex scenario to digestible steps and components.
  • Strong written skills for documentation, product requirement documents, client communications, technical proposals etc.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable assuming responsibility for project managing the onboarding process and training clients in our products in a timely manner.
  • Curious, proactive, autonomous, detail oriented while still seeing the big picture.
  • Proficient skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Salesforce, Jira; ideally experienced working in terminal, with APIs, HTML/JavaScript, and browser developer tools.
