Whilst the role sits within the delivery function and reports into the Managing Consultant Solutions EMEA the successful candidate will develop a strong and wide reaching relationship network across sales, product management, solution delivery, service delivery and support.

 

JOB TITLE:   TECHNICAL PRESALES CONSULTANT

LOCATION:   AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS

 

BASIC FUNCTION:   

 

The Technical Solutions Consultant advises clients and prospective clients on how comScore’s products can help them answer difficult business questions and/or overcome complex business challenges. Using experience, persuasive argument and integrity, they are the trusted advisors of prospects and maintain an ongoing relationship through their client lifecycle. The Solutions Consultant supports sales productivity by securing the technical conversion during the sales process. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Advise clients and prospective clients on how comScore’s products can assist their business and overcome business challenges
  • Working with a team oriented approach develop solution propositions based on customer requirements and consult with the implementation teams to ensure the vision is achievable
  • Be pro-active in qualifying sales opportunities from a technical perspective , identifying and managing risk
  • Support the sales process by securing the technical conversion and designing client deliverables, based on an understanding of client needs and comScore capabilities
  • Manage responses to RFIs and RFPs
  • Provide subject matter expertise for the completion of customer proposals
  • Develop “Proof of Concepts” and present solutions to clients
  • Input into project pricing
  • Effectively communicate the agreed solution to the delivery team and provide support as the solution moves into the delivery phase
  • Build senior relationships with clients and prospects - develop understanding of analytics strategy and convert potential opportunities into value added projects
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of comScore and competitor solutions and technologies, keeping up-to-date with industry/business sector developments
  • Maintain on-going communication with clients around best practices and new product features
  • Build comScore’s brand and regularly showcases new opportunities
  • Works autonomously, all tasks accomplished independently
  • Provide input to the development of repeatable propositions and assist in tailoring to specific opportunities

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Fluency in English and Dutch
  • 5 to 7 years pre-sales and/or consultancy experience in software solutions environment
  • Strong understanding of web analytics, digital advertising systems, as well as audience research and how this information can be applied to help client’s to achieve their goals
  • Familiarity with page tagging, census data collection methods and programmatic trading.
  • Ability to create compelling story-based demonstrations to demonstrate applicability of solutions suite
  • Direct experience selling enterprise software services as a solution suite is a big plus, particularly as these solutions can be integrated with applications such as e-mail marketing, CRM, search keyword management, performance measurement, etc.
  • Experience with hosted solutions in selling software as a services (SaaS), specific to the analytics and advertising space
  • Solid communication and listening skills, as well as persuasive presentation skills
  • A relentless work ethic and a desire to learn a new skill set, develop additional expertise and create the future of digital business analytics
  • Experience in managing proposals/ RFI / RFPs
  • Willingness to travel in Europe

The Icing on the cake:

 

  • Experience of working with complex data architectures, with experience of high volume data environments a distinct advantage
  • A market research background is a big plus
  • Established contacts and relationships within the industry a strong plus
  • Knowledge of page tagging, JavaScript, HTML, Java, XML, J2EE helpful
