The Product Support Analyst works in our Ad Operations team and uses a deep technical understanding of the comScore AdEffx Product line to address internal and external clients’ questions and/or issues. Working under the direction of the Product Support Manager, you will act as a liaison building strong relationships with internal clients, engineers and product managers. Coordinate with Survey Operations team to ensure proper fielding of questionnaires. Oversee all data-related aspects of post-survey testing (e.g., quality assurance performed on data returned from new and edited survey questions) Manage progress of survey enhancements to ensure accomplishment of research objectives - this includes communication to anticipate challenges related to survey design, fielding/data collection, and interface reporting.  It also requires the Survey Manager to coordinate communication with the Product Team regarding reporting progress, anticipating and overcoming challenges, and assuring quality deliverables. Analyze large data sets in order to communicate compelling insights to internal teams. Perform basic analysis of survey research results, including sub-group analysis for inclusion in reports.  Basic analysis to include: Produce descriptive analysis of results consistent with product objectives Perform basic analysis of statistical significance Design/create reports/summaries based on Product Team needs Prepare and present analysis with findings and recommendations to Product Team and internal analysts on team.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced Degree or significant experience in Marketing, Business, Social Sciences, or quantitative field
  • At least 2-3 years of survey research experience with the ability to manage projects from start to finish independently using a variety of research methodologies.
  • Experience in an online environment/ using online methodologies is required. Experience with custom research is an asset.

This is an exciting, intellectually challenging opportunity for a director with a strong proficiency in data analysis, custom analytics and technology. As the Director of our Media West Analytics division, you will lead a team that extracts, transforms and analyzes data to provide key insight to internal and external clients. You will support the sales function by providing data expertise contributing to the creation and innovation of comScore’s offerings. This role is for a courageous leader proficient in data analysis and tech industry consulting. The work you produce will have direct impact towards driving business strategies of many big company names in the Silicon Valley and Pacific Northwest. The team you manage will analyze big data, develop dynamic business solutions, research pioneering products, and collaborate across different functional teams. Strong business acumen and strategic leadership are both must haves. You will need to be comfortable working in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities, vague requirements, and rapid iterations.

 

Problems we are solving:

 

What do people do when they are online and how is that different across devices? How will video content across television and various platforms tell a more complete story of advertising when paired with large scale data assets? What new technologies have made legitimate disruptions in the digital landscape and what is the sizing of their impact. In what ways does content influence behavior and how effective is advertising on that content? Why are there shifts in the ecosystems of search engines, social media, and retailers? How much of those trends are caused by company strategies as opposed to the evolution in the general population’s behavior? What can our clients do when they integrate with and activate on the astronomical sum of data comScore has?

 

About our team:

 

We are the Custom Analytics division of comScore marketing solutions. We’re a diverse team of data nerds who provide solutions to an abundance of worldwide leaders in the industries of digital publishing, advertising, entertainment, finance, retail, and technology. The specific team you will be managing will work with over two hundred clients every year. Projects range from quick and easy ad hoc asks, to broadly broadcasted reports, to large scale seven figure contracts. We work with sales teams to identify the big problems companies want to solve and collaborate with the broader commercial and product teams to solve those problems. We’re voracious when it comes to learning and geeky when it comes to jokes. We don’t shy away from challenges or opportunities to better understand the world around us.

 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Owns and manages the full suite of analytical solutions for multiple commercial divisions.
  • Responsible for their development and revenue growth of the entire West Coast client portfolio.
  • Promotes innovation and leads research in support of new sales opportunities.
  • Helps determine how to monetize comScore’s growing intellectual assets.
  • Develops offerings to meet and anticipate market demand. Champions bold innovation and cutting edge thinking.
  • Plays a key role in the strategic leadership of client account vertical(s).
  • Builds and develops world-class analytical capability and bench strength.
  • Leads a team with 5+ client-facing managers, and 12+ resources in multiple locations
  • Responsible for resources, budgets, hiring and firing.
  • Builds and maintains strong internal and external relationships with client and/or vendors. May develop strategic partnerships.
  • Exemplify comScore's tradition of analytical excellence and industry leadership.

   

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional experience with data analysis.
  • 5+ years of experience in market research analytics of digital publisher and/or advertisers.
  • 5+ years of experience management experience, with 4+ years leading a large team.
  • Deep understanding of the panel data, tagging, internet behavior, and analysis of digital advertising ecosystem.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject such as Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, etc.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking paired with superior communication skills (presentation and written).
  • Proven ability to forge strong client partnerships.
  • Proven ability to build managerial capability in direct reports.

 

Preferred:

  • 5+ years experience with comScore product offerings and research methods.
  • 4+ years experience managing a portfolio of work with $10 million or greater in annual revenue.
  • Experience in the sales process of market research products.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and controlling cost.
  • Ability to innovate and anticipate market needs.
  • Willing to travel to the East coast and Pacific Northwest
