MDA and Comscore Release Rankings of Top Web Entities in Malaysia for December 2014

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, February 24, 2015 – The Malaysian Digital Association (MDA), the apex representative body for online publishers, advertising agencies and digital service providers in Malaysia, and Comscore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR), a global leader in digital media analytics, today released their monthly rankings of web activity for the top online entities in Malaysia for December 2014 based on data from the Comscore MMX™ and Comscore Mobile Metrix® services.

Top 30 Local Web Entities Visited from Desktop Computers in Malaysia
MAYBANK2U.COM.MY, MUDAH.MY, AIRASIA.COM, CIMBCLICKS.COM.MY and CARI.COM.MY held their respective top 5 spots in the top 30 local web entities ranking in December 2014, compared to November 2014. THEMALAYSIANINSIDER.COM.MY was the biggest mover, climbing 12 positions to #9. MELVISTER.COM and THEVOCKET.COM were new entrants to the top 30 ranking compared to November 2014.

Top 30 Web Properties Visited from Desktop Computers in Malaysia
Google Sites kept its #1 position in the top 30 web properties ranking in December 2014, compared to November 2014. Amazon Sites and CIMB Group each moved up 7 positions to #15 and #18 respectively. New to the chart compared to November 2014 were Adobe Sites at #24 and Ziff Davis Tech at #28.

Top 20 Web Properties Visited from Mobile Devices in Malaysia
Astro Group and Media Prima Group kept their respective top 2 spots in the top 20 web properties ranking in December 2014, compared to November 2014. THEMALAYSIANINSIDER.COM.MY saw the biggest jump, climbing 5 positions to #10. Group Digital Karangkraf, CARLIST.MY and LIKES.COM were new entrants compared to November 2014. Yahoo Sites kept its top spot in terms of tablet audience with 306,000 unique visitors, followed by Media Prima Group with 290,000 and Astro Group with 265,000. In terms of engagement, MUDAH.MY ranked as the top property on smartphones with 178,035,000 pages viewed, followed by Media Prima Group with 28,669,000 and Malaysiakini Sites with 23,118,000.
