Weather A British Obsession Moves Online
In the UK, nearly 10.6 million unique visitors went online to check the weather in April 2012; a strong increase of 20 percent compared to the previous month. The top 5 weather sites saw double digit growth rates, showcasing the Brits' penchant for knowing the weather forecast. BBC Weather, the top site in the category, attracted 5.9 million unique visitors in April, an increase of 19 percent from March 2012. Holiday-Weather.com attracted 667,000 unique visitors and saw the strongest growth rate (up 61 percent month-on-month) among the top 5 sites.
