Digital Analytics: A Thirty Year Retrospective
Evento: INFORMS Midwest Conference – The Practice of Analytics
The 1970’s were arguably the beginning of a technological transformation that we’re still undergoing today. This decade witnessed the explosion of computing power and a concurrent drop in cost for massive electronic databases. In this presentation, comScore Chairman and Co-Founder Gian Fulgoni takes us back through time to show how the early roots of “big data” and “analytics” began in the 1970’s, what they looked like during the early years of the internet, and finally how they’re transformed today with the explosion of digital and mobile platforms.
Key issues this presentation addresses are:
- Big Data? We’ve been there before.
- How measurable is the Internet?
- The rise of the mobile omnivore.
- Digital advertising comes of age.
