“Despite a troubled economy, visitation to online retail sites has grown significantly in France during the past year,” said Delphine Gatignol, Comscore Business Development Manager for France. “While clothing remains the most popular category for online shoppers in France, growth has been occurring across all retail sectors, which suggests that consumers are continuing to shift to the online channel for shopping. As the economy rebounds and people begin to spend more freely, the French e-commerce market should be poised for strong growth.”
