Comscore Releases May 2015 U.S. Desktop Online Video Rankings

RESTON, VA, June 19, 2015 – Comscore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR), a global leader in digital media analytics, today released data from the Comscore Video Metrix® service showing that 192.9 million Americans watched online content videos via desktop computer in May 2015. Google Sites ranked as the top video content property, BrightRoll Platform was the top video ad property, and VEVO topped the list of YouTube partner channels.

Top 10 Video Content Properties by Unique Viewers
Google Sites, driven primarily by video viewing at YouTube.com, ranked as the top online video content property in May with 162.1 million unique viewers. Facebook ranked #2 with 85.6 million viewers, followed by Yahoo Sites with 59.1 million, VEVO with 44.1 million and Maker Studios Inc. with 42 million.

Top 10 Video Ad Properties by Unique Viewer Percent Reach
BrightRoll Platform ranked #1 in video ad reach, serving ads to 47.6 percent of the total U.S. population in May. LiveRail came in second with 33.3 percent reach, followed by Specific Media with 32.8 percent, Google Sites with 31.7 percent and AOL, Inc. with 28.4 percent.

Top 10 YouTube Partner Channels by Unique Viewers
The May 2015 YouTube partner data revealed that video music channel VEVO climbed back into the top position in the ranking with 43.5 million viewers. Disney/Maker Studios occupied the #2 spot with 41.6 million unique viewers, followed by QuizGroup with 32.5 million, Broadband TV with 31.7 million and Machinima with 31 million.
