JOB FUNCTION

 

Associate Analyst are the first point of contact for all of our internal and external clients. They have the responsibility for providing the highest level of service and ensuring that clients embrace the value of and use comScore products to their maximum potential. Associate Analyst, must respond promptly, accurately and completely to user inquiries and provide ongoing training in the use of comScore products. Primary contact with clients is via telephone and email. Responds to all questions from clients and internal users regarding product usage and access; track inquiries and responses; and collaborate with internal departments as needed to resolve inquires. Configure and provide client access to products, establish strong relationships with clients, and maintain client and company confidentiality at all times. Work with all levels of management to ensure clients are maximizing value of comScore products and services.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 
•Provide high caliber end user support for clients and consumers on comScore products, escalating issues intra- and inter-departmentally as needed
•Perform triage and research on client reported issues
•Track and manage outstanding issues and actions through to completion
•Coordinate and present live demonstrations of comScore products to new and existing clients for training purposes.
•Educate and train other comScore employees on products and improvements/new features
•Support and provide input to product, development, operations, and quality assurance groups


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


•Bachelor’s degree, in English, Business or related field or equivalent work experience required
•Minimum 2 years’ experience in a client services role and 1-year experience serving clients via phone or e-mail
•Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
•Demonstrated experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments in a timely manner with minimal supervision
•Demonstrated experience dealing with conflict and resolving issues in a professional manger
•Proven, outstanding communication skills, verbally, through writing and in person

comScore is seeking a self-motivated and technically adept systems administrator for their infrastructure team in Reston, VA. We'll be looking for this person to have strong experience in implementing and maintaining messaging systems, including by not limited to Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange Server. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining infrastructure systems that support comScore's messaging capabilities for almost 2000 employees. You will also be responsible for fielding support requests in relation to the group as they arise. This position requires the employee to be able to think and act quickly in a fast-paced environment, use good judgment to understand when an issue needs to be escalated, and to use all resources available to discover the best resolution to an issue, in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

What You'll Do In This Role:

  • Support and maintenance of directory, messaging, and supporting corporate technologies.
  • Tier II/III escalation in supporting the internal users.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate all aspects of comScore’s internal audit and enterprise risk management IT activities.  Responsibilities will include:

  • Development and execution of the annual IT risk assessment
  • Leadership of IT-related audits, including information security/cybersecurity, backup and recovery, data privacy management, etc.
  • Streamlining and testing of the organization’s SOX IT general and application controls with the goal to place increased reliance on system-based controls and to automate processes whenever possible
  • Partnership with senior business leaders in system implementation reviews of both 3rd party SAAS and internally developed applications to ensure the right controls are configured/developed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3+ years relevant experience with IT, IT audit, public accounting, or internal audit
  • Understanding of IT audit, IT governance frameworks (ex. COBIT, ITIL, etc.)
  • An interest in better leveraging information technology into the organization’s internal control processes
  • Strong focus on learning comScore’s core business and developing a risk and control assurance program that fits with the growth of firm
  • CISA, CISSP, CISM, or IT audit related certification a plus

Reporting to the Director of Policy, the Senior Accountant Reporting and Policy will be responsible for ensuring the accurate recording of complex revenue transactions related to the Company’s service offerings in accordance with US GAAP. The Senior Accountant will be a part of a dynamic reporting and policy team involved with all technical accounting and reporting responsibilities. This high profile role will require interaction with the revenue team, legal, sales and sales operations allowing the individual to gain meaningful insight into a growing Company. This role will include partnering with the respective business personnel and other stakeholders in the revenue cycle to understand the offering; evaluate and influence the structure; assess and conclude on the technical accounting conclusions. In addition to revenue related responsibilities, the Senior Accountant will support other technical and reporting initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and account for complex revenue contracts entered into by the Company
  • Draft technical memos to support analysis of revenue contract accounting
  • Support the implementation of the new revenue recognition standard
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Prepare equity accounting work papers as part of month end close
  • Assist in the preparation of position papers for ad hoc technical accounting issues

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university

•Apply critical thinking to analyze process and data anomalies, field client inquiries, and diagnose problems and data issues. These tasks will include working with Software Engineers, Product Managers, Account Managers, Sales Managers, and Data Operations Analysts.
•Summarize and visualize conclusions from large-scale data sets to support the decision making of internal business stakeholders using SAS, Excel, and other tools.
•Communicate findings and results into measures of business impact.
•Evaluate and confirm the integrity of large source data sets.
•Be responsible for quality control and documentation of analysis and modeling to ensure on-time and accurate projection deliverables.
•Manipulate, analyze, and validate large data sets using SAS and SQL analytical software, and extract quantitative and qualitative findings from large data sets.
•Creatively solve tactical and strategic problems, bringing new approaches to management.
•Ownership of routine tasks, ensuring all steps are completed within expected project deadlines with little supervision.


QUALIFICATIONS


•Requires a BA/BS in Statistics, Mathematics, or related field; Master’s or Ph.D. degree preferred.
•2-4 years of relevant data science experience; comScore or other media measurement experience can be included.
•Experience in building data science methodologies and custom data solutions for quantitative data measurement.
•General familiarity with media industry and practices (theatrical, television, home entertainment, advertising, cross-platform, etc.); existing background in media, television, or cross-platform measurement services preferred.
•Experience in data analysis and problem solving with large amounts of data; strong knowledge of SAS and SQL programming preferred.
•Strong Excel skills.
•Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate findings to stakeholders and document project steps in detail.
