Comscore Expands its Audience Measurement and Advertising Analytics Services in The Netherlands

Comscore Plans to Introduce MMX Multi-Platform™ and validated Campaign Essentials™ in The Netherlands, Confirming Its Commitment to Service the Dutch Market

Amsterdam, the Netherlands, June 4, 2013 – Comscore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR), a leader in measuring the digital world, today announced its commitment to rolling out a full suite of audience measurement and advertising analytics services in The Netherlands. This follows the successful launch of Comscore MMX Multi-Platform in the US and UK, and the global success of validated Campaign Essentials. With the dissolution of STIR, the joint industry committee for online measurement, Comscore will now provide its audience measurement and advertising analytics services directly to the Dutch market.

Joris Goossens, Comscore Sales Director in the Netherlands, said: “Comscore is committed to providing the Dutch market with a comprehensive and accurate digital audience measurement platform and to delivering insights into the effectiveness of digital advertising campaigns that are required by Dutch media owners and buyers.”

Operating in Amsterdam since 1996, through the acquisition of web analytics provider Nedstat, Comscore has become a leading digital business analytics provider, offering a variety of digital services such as web analytics, audience measurement and advertising effectiveness solutions to the Dutch market.

Planned Enhancements to Comscore Offerings in The Netherlands
Comscore plans to deliver the following enhancements to the Dutch market in September 2013:

  • Upgrade Comscore MMX: online browsing measurement for all media properties, with investments in the Comscore online panel. Improvements include composition developments, extended demographics, and more accurate demographic and behavioural weighting through a new enumeration survey and census informed targets.
  • Upgrade validated Campaign Essentials (vCE): verified assessment of ad-exposed audiences across a variety of dimensions, such as ads delivered in-view, in the right geography, in a brand safe environment and absent of fraudulent delivery. The audience metrics will benefit from the improvements in Comscore’s online panel.
  • Introduce Comscore Video Metrix: online video measurement – with similar panel enhancements as MMX – including YouTube partner channels and the integration of advanced site-centric measurement, enabling improved duration metrics.

Further items that Comscore is planning to deliver are:

  • Mobile and Tablet reporting: audience measurement for browsing and application usage for iOS and Android devices for all tagged content, planned for end of 2013.
  • Comscore MMX Multi-Platform: de-duplicated view of the Total Digital Population for online browsing, video, mobile and tablet usage, planned for end of the first quarter of 2014.

Comscore is committed to being transparent and accountable in its methodology and delivery against declared service levels. As such, Comscore is inviting representatives from the leading Dutch media industry associations to sit on an Advisory Research Committee to oversee these services.

Cameron Meierhoefer, Chief Operating Officer at Comscore, concluded: “We are investing to develop our existing product portfolio in The Netherlands, so that we can deliver critical insights and competitive intelligence required to support the digital advertising marketplace.”

To ensure the most comprehensive and accurate reporting of multi-platform behaviour, Comscore offers free tagging to Dutch publishers of all media content, including pages, video streams, mobile and tablet applications. For publishers not already tagging all these assets with Comscore, please visit direct.comscore.com.

From 1st June 2013, Comscore is also offering free access until 31st August 2013 to its existing MMX Dutch online browsing service to all companies who used to have access to STIR data.

Complimentary Press Briefing
Comscore will be holding a Press briefing on June 11th from 10am to 11am to present these product updates and communicate what they mean for the Dutch market.
