JOB FUNCTION:

comScore Inc., a recognized innovator in media measurement is seeking a proven leader to contribute to its Cross Media initiatives.

The person in this role will manage the product strategy and execution plan for comScore’s Cross Media businesses. You will be responsible for product management for comScore’s cross media products that bring together digital consumption measurement with TV and Radio data. The products will include cross-media audience and advertising products.

You will craft the product strategy, work with a cross-functional team to define the milestones and roadmap, manage the execution against the roadmap and work with the product marketing team to help conceive and develop marketing programs for comScore’s Cross-Media initiatives. Experience with the TV buying/selling/planning process is critical.  An understanding of how media planning and buying is executed across multiple channels (including digital) is a plus.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research, define and manage the development of a product suite that facilitates audience and advertising insights on a Cross-Media basis.
  • Responsible for overall product lifecycle – from product prototyping to handoff for Cross-Media products. Develop product plan, establish product priorities and define resource requirements for developing and delivering the product.
  • Work with cross functional teams of internal analysts, technology and engineering staff to execute against product plan.
  • Manage the daily product management responsibility leveraging the Agile framework.
  • Serve as the expert on cross media buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competitive platforms and their weaknesses – for both internal comScore teams as well as comScore clients.
  • Work with product marketing team to create positioning and messaging that differentiates our cross media and associated products.
  • Work with the sales team and clients to understand market needs and how that influences the development of the product

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of experience in the TV media planning and/or TV research space, including products, methods, market validation and sizing.
  • 2 years or more experience with the digital advertising research industry.  Experience using comScore products preferred.
  • Experience with video, mobile and social and market research in digital a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile development framework a plus.
  • Strong analytical orientation--must love data, and be able to articulate the business impact. Ability to analyze large information sets in order to validate product quality required.
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties.
  • Excellent communication skills, including both written and verbal to both technical and non-technical audiences.

This Database Engineer will support existing code and databases and develop new systems for internet web dictionary. This person will work alongside other Database developers and .Net engineers to analyze design and deliver requirements from the Dictionary Management team.

Job Function:

The Client Service Technical Analyst will be responsible for identifying and managing client needs for market research projects requiring custom technical solutions.  Technical Analyst will participate as a key member of a Client Service team to prepare market research deliverables of interest to key accounts, with an emphasis on search activity, as well as exposure to online advertising effectiveness, video streaming, user segmentation and much more. The analyst will create project plans and develop ongoing client relationships with existing Fortune 500 clients.  This position provides growth opportunities for self-starters.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of or desire to become a search expert and engage with both internal and external clients on strategic insights and the design of deliverables to answer key client questions.
  • Act as central point of contact for custom research projects with unique technical components. Work and communicate directly with internal and external groups to understand requirements and lead implementation of solutions.
  • Have intimate knowledge of available technical solutions and be able to communicate that knowledge to non-technical individuals.
  • Create project plans, functional requirements and other written materials to assist technical teams.
  • Plan, schedule and lead internal and external meetings needed to drive a given project.
  • Coordinate and perform any required testing or training for a project implementation.
  • Interpret data and communicate key findings and recommendations to address client business issues.
  • Provide sales support including proposal authoring, feasibility reviews, sample analyses and deliverables, and client data validations.
  • Perform quality control processes for client deliverables

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or quantitative field.  Knowledge of the Media and Entertainment industry, particularly on the web, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing numerous, widely varied technical projects simultaneously on overlapping timelines.  Experience managing project durations of a few weeks to several months.
  • General understanding of common web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, XML, client/server interactions, etc. is required.  Experience programming in these languages or leading development teams using these languages is not necessary but is a plus.
  • Experience that is analytical in nature, such as experience with large amounts of data, or custom research is important.  Experience in Internet marketing or in analyzing customer interactions on the web, such as use of search, streaming, advertising, etc. is a plus.
  • Proven ability to independently manage and develop ongoing client relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Proven client-facing skills.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Excel, Python or similar data analysis tools is preferred.
  • Very strong attention to detail.  Must be a fast learner, adaptable, able to work hard under pressure and with decisiveness and limited oversight.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to client sites in the Seattle, Bellevue and/or Redmond, WA area once or twice a week.

You’ll be part of a team that helps clients understand key business issues and research needs in the world of marketing and advertising.  You will transform and analyze data to identify patterns and trends, which our clients use to make crucial decisions in the marketplace.  You will have a unique ability to combine your consulting, quantitative and analytical skills that you will not find with many other organizations.

WHAT DO YOU DO DAY TO DAY?

·       Analyze comScore data and deliver strategic custom reports, analyses and business insights to Fortune 500 clients within a vertical industry (primarily the Health/Pharmaceutical industry).  In addition, you will conduct industry and web site research, perform data quality assurance checks and investigations, analyze large amounts of data, research changes in trends, prepare spreadsheet reports (think Excel) and slide presentations  (think Power Point), and present findings to existing clients to help them understand the data and gain business value from it.

·       Become expert in comScore advertising effectiveness, brand tracking, syndicated, and custom market research projects and capabilities

·       Help manage contract renewals with clients in a timely manner

·       Assist with Incubation new products; help improve and grow them to meet clients’ needs more effectively

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP ENSURE YOUR SUCCESS:

•          Ability to interact effectively with peers in a team-oriented operating structure

•          Pro-active, independent thinker with high energy/positive attitude

•          Bachelors Degree with a some quantitative focus such as Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, Engineering and/or a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or Journalism with the ability to understand complex ideas, statistical concepts and their application.

•          Experience within college coursework or internships that is analytical in nature, such as experience with syndicated data or custom research.  Basic understanding of marketing principles,  is a plus.

•          Proven proficiency with numbers/statistics and strong Excel and Power Point skills a must.  Exposure to statistical software packages such as SPSS a plus. 

•          Excellent communication skills, including both written and verbal -- REQUIRED
