Job Title:  IT Audit Manager

Reports To:  Vice President – Enterprise Risk Management

Location:  Reston, VA

 

 

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the VP – Enterprise Risk Management, the IT Audit Manager will have overall responsibility for assurance oversight over comScore’s IT-related activities.  The IT Audit Manager will interact directly with the Chief Technology Officer and this team to develop and perform and ongoing program of risk assessments, SOX-related procedures, and internal audits. 

 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate all aspects of comScore’s internal audit and enterprise risk management IT activities.  Responsibilities will include:

  • Development and execution of the annual IT risk assessment
  • Leadership of IT-related audits, including information security/cybersecurity, backup and recovery, data privacy management, etc.
  • Streamlining and testing of the organization’s SOX IT general and application controls with the goal to place increased reliance on system-based controls and to automate processes whenever possible
  • Partnership with senior business leaders in system implementation reviews of both 3rd party SAAS and internally developed applications to ensure the right controls are configured/developed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3+ years relevant experience with IT, IT audit, public accounting, or internal audit
  • Understanding of IT audit, IT governance frameworks (ex. COBIT, ITIL, etc.)
  • An interest in better leveraging information technology into the organization’s internal control processes
  • Strong focus on learning comScore’s core business and developing a risk and control assurance program that fits with the growth of firm
  • CISA, CISSP, CISM, or IT audit related certification a plus
  • Familiarity with ERPs (particularly NetSuite) and CRM s (especially Salesforce.com) a plus

Job Title:  Senior Accountant – Reporting and Policy

Reports To:   Senior Director

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Policy, the Senior Accountant Reporting and Policy will be responsible for ensuring the accurate recording of complex revenue transactions related to the Company’s service offerings in accordance with US GAAP. The Senior Accountant will be a part of a dynamic reporting and policy team involved with all technical accounting and reporting responsibilities. This high profile role will require interaction with the revenue team, legal, sales and sales operations allowing the individual to gain meaningful insight into a growing Company. This role will include partnering with the respective business personnel and other stakeholders in the revenue cycle to understand the offering; evaluate and influence the structure; assess and conclude on the technical accounting conclusions. In addition to revenue related responsibilities, the Senior Accountant will support other technical and reporting initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and account for complex revenue contracts entered into by the Company
  • Draft technical memos to support analysis of revenue contract accounting
  • Support the implementation of the new revenue recognition standard
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Prepare equity accounting work papers as part of month end close
  • Assist in the preparation of position papers for ad hoc technical accounting issues
  • Support quarterly and annual financial reporting responsibilities
  • Support the external quarterly reviews and year-end audit

 

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university
  • CPA preferred
  • Minimum 3 years progressively responsible accounting and finance experience
  • Experience with Multi-Element Arrangements, VSOE and BESP preferred
  • Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm or other national accounting firm strongly preferred
  • Proven ability and desire to work effectively, delivering accurate results under tight deadlines, in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, dynamic environment.
  • Advanced understanding of Excel and proficient in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with AX Dynamics, Netsuite or both general ledgers systems a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills. Ability to confidently and effectively communicate to all levels within the Company.

JOB TITLE:         DIRECTOR, FP&A

REPORTS TO:    SENIOR DIRECTOR, FINANCIAL PLANNING AND ANALYSIS

  

JOB FUNCTION:

 

This individual will assist the VP of Financial Planning & Analysis with the annual budget process, monthly/quarterly forecasts, long-term plans and monthly reporting for certain budget areas as well as consolidated total company reporting. This will be a leadership role requiring strong interpersonal and managerial skills as well as being detail-oriented for thorough self and team review for accurate reporting and analysis. The strong candidate will drive process improvements and have the opportunity and expectation to help the business make critical investment decisions.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Drive the monthly/quarterly revenue forecasting process, working closely with the sales and revenue accounting groups
  • Prepare monthly analysis that highlights the key drivers for variances to budget, prior forecast and prior months related to revenue, COGS, other operating expenses and headcount
  • Manage the Purchase Order and Position Requisition approval process to ensure consistency with the Plan/Forecast
  • Support the Corporate annual budgeting process and the monthly/quarterly forecasting process
  • Research and identify tools or methods to make our revenue planning/forecasting process scaleable to accommodate our changing business needs
  • Lead the calculation and analysis of many of our quarterly CV, revenue and customer count metrics for board meetings and earnings calls
  • Act in a financial support capacity to business unit managers and executive management team
  • Assist in development and ongoing reporting of product P&Ls
  • Identify ways to automate and improve efficiencies in processes, especially revenue forecasting
  • Assist with the integration of newly acquired entities, when applicable
  • Assist in the implementation of additional financial software, such as ERP systemsSelect, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function; grow and retain key talent; build capability in others by creating opportunities for growth
  • Ability to anticipate the organizations needs and act proactively

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Experienced finance professional with 5-7 years with a publically-traded, multinational company
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP for technology industries
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with senior management and view internal leadership as a client base
  • Individual must be an independent thinker who is able to perform in an evolving and changing environment while maintaining a high energy levelExperience working with organizations during rapid growth and expansionVery strong deductive reasoning/analytical skills
  • Highly proficient using complete Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Experience with Adaptive Planning, Netsuite and SalesForce a plus
