More than ever, the behavior of Brazilian Internet users is being modified not only in terms of content consumption, but also in the way they access the Internet, becoming multi-platform consumers. New devices are helping to build a new digital era, which is creating new directions and opportunities for advertisers and media sellers.
Here are some facts from recent months that have helped determine the future of the Internet in Brazil:
- Brazil is the world's second largest market in terms of volume of monthly impressions, with over 198 billion impressions delivered in the first quarter of 2015
- Almost half of the Brazilian audience already consumes digital content through more than one device.
- Nearly 9 million Internet users in Brazil access the Internet exclusively from their tablets and mobile phones.
- Time spent per visitor in desktop fell 8.9% in the last 12 months and the time per view is already higher on mobile than desktop.
In this report, we examine some of the most important sectors of the digital media ecosystem to show how the landscape has changed, what trends are leading the way, and what all of this means for the rest of the year. It is an important moment for the digital environment in the country and we hope that this study will help us to put the Digital Future in Focus.
