Germany Top 20 April 2014

April 2014 highlights:

  • In April 2014, more than 58 million users in Germany accessed the internet through their desktop computers or laptops, with nearly 46 million watching videos online.
  • Leading publisher Axel Springer SE entered the Top 5 for the first time in 2014, now reaching nearly 48% of the online population in Germany.
  • Despite a slight decrease in overall traffic across the Top 20 Online Properties, Dropbox Sites and broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 Sites achieved Month-on-Month audience growth rates of +5% and +3%, respectively.
  • Remaining at #2 position behind Google Sites (including YouTube) in the Top 20 Video Property rankings, Facebook experienced one of the strongest Month-on-Month growth rates in viewership: 16.6 million viewers watched videos on Facebook in April, a 33% increase compared to the previous month.
