Germany Top 20 June 2014

June 2014 highlights:

  • 58 million users in Germany accessed the internet through their desktop computers or laptops in June 2014, while 44.6 million people watched videos online.
  • Public service broadcaster ARD Sites saw their audience increase by a strong +12%, now reaching nearly 10 million people aged 6+ with their online offerings. Likely to have been impacted by the coverage of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, child entity Ardmediathek.de, the PSB’s digital TV offering, experienced a traffic lift of more than 25% alone.
  • Microsoft Sites reclaimed #4 position in the Top 20, with 50.8% of the total online population in Germany consuming Microsoft content in June 2014.
  • Video marketer and technology provider Clipkit climbed from #12 (May 2014) to #7 (June 2014) in the German Top 20 Video Property rankings, passing the 7 million Unique Viewers mark for the first time in 2014.
