Job Description

Job Title: Senior Salesforce Administrator

Location: Reston, VA

About this Role:

This role will encompass a mix of technical work and business operations support within the Commercial Operations team. It will include working within our Salesforce.com system and supporting various integrations with the CPQ (Configure-Price-Quote) application, Conga contract management, and the general quote-to-cash process for Sales. It also includes support of numerous sales processes and operations. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Commercial Systems. The individual will help develop creative solutions that are consistent with Comscore’s business requirements and sales process. This role should have administrative experience with the Salesforce.com platform.

What You’ll Do:

  • Administer and maintain Salesforce.com integrations such as Salesforce CPQ, Conga Contracts, and DocuSign
  • Be a key driver in the transition to Salesforces Lightning user interface, assisting with scoping, building, and implementing
  • Write and maintain complex price, product rules, and templates within CPQ; knowledge of HTML and CSS helpful
  • Gather diverse business requirements and translating them to actionable systems solutions
  • Continually drive business value in the contracts & deal desk process
  • Participate in cross-functional teams that address strategic business issues involving CRM, CPQ, sales operations, and ERP
  • Interface with the end users to understand feature requirements and/ or address support issues
  • Identify sales or contract process usage problems and develop creative solutions
  • Manage and improve upon various Salesforce-powered sales and contracting approval processes; experience of Salesforce Standard and Advanced Approvals functionality desirable
  • Support and train users on new processes and system changes
  • Enjoy working independently, while engaging his/her supervisor as needed

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience plus 3+ years of high paced Salesforce admin work in a growing technology company
  • Hands-on experience in administration set-up including: managing users, security controls, data as well as creating roles, profiles and reports, and experience managing role hierarchies and sharing rules
  • Understanding of the architecture, capabilities, & constraints of Salesforce applications
  • Experience on various custom objects, tabs, VisualForce pages & controllers
  • Proficiency with SOQL, Visualforce, Apex
  • Experience with Salesforce data tools such as Data Loader & Import Wizard, and with automation tools such as Triggers, Process Builder, and Workflows
  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning, Salesforce CPQ, and/or Conga Contracts is highly valued
  • Extensive reporting and analytics experience; experience with business intelligence tools, like Clari, Tableau, or Insight Squared, is a plus
  • Ability to create and own sales and pricing model
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical issues and resolve problems at all levels of the organization
  • Experience documenting and analyzing processes, procedures, and/or policies
  • Ability to handle full workload and meet deadlines
  • Experience using the Agile development framework
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira for backlog grooming, sprint planning and execution, and deployment management

Desired Certifications/Experience for the role (not required, but strongly preferred):

  • Certified Salesforce Administrator or equivalent experience
  • Certified Salesforce Advanced Administrator or equivalent experience
