Note: With July 2013 U.S. qSearch data, Comscore has enhanced its weighting methodology to leverage insights gained from the Comscore Census Network, through a technique called Census Informed Targets (CIT). CIT replaces the Comscore Calibration Panel as the source for behavioral weighting targets (specifically, targets for intensity of Internet usage). This change had a negligible month-over-month impact on core search query estimates for all properties except AOL.
“Powered By” Reporting
In July, 68.6 percent of searches carried organic search results from Google, while 27.1 percent of searches were powered by Bing (up 0.3 percentage points).
