A look at the rise in iPad ownership in the U.S. among mobile phone consumers* highlights the tremendous growth both the iPad and the iPad 2 have seen since their inception. Since February 2011, the number of iPad owners has more than doubled to reach 16 million U.S. mobile users for the three-month average period ending January 2012.
With many anticipating the announcement of the next iPad on March 7, Apple will look to grow its iPad audience base as overall tablet ownership continues its upward trajectory.
