Director, Activation Sales

About This Role:

Our Activation team focuses on leveraging Comscore's data for targeting specifically within the programmatic space. We're focused on continuing to lead the market on next gen innovation and looking to grow the team to help us get there! We are seeking a high performing individual with strong initiative and a passionate drive for data and the programmatic space to join our Activation team. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and be motivated to play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with key programmatic stakeholders and helping them derive value from Comscore's best in class audience and contextual targeting assets.

What You'll Do:

  • Consistently meet and exceed revenue expectations, ensuring a pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Identify sales opportunities across our Activation business with key partners by prospecting and managing an account base this includes both uncovering new opportunities and driving account growth.
  • Own the account management cycle for programmatic buyers, agency trading desks and, when necessary, managed service partners.
  • Develop executive-level client relationships within named accounts, ensuring that Comscore is the go-to partner for cutting edge strategic programmatic innovation
  • Hunt new contacts / prospect new clients within named prospect account list
  • Act as a Programmatic subject matter expert and lead on all Activation opportunities within your accounts
  • Actively pitch, educate, and present to trading teams to grow strategic relationships at trading desks and across brand, agency, and/or publisher clients.
  • Educate and reinforce Comscore's value proposition through key messaging and providing deeper understanding of benefits to clients of Comscore's Activation solutions and closed loop approach
  • Understand customer needs and requirements; staying current on all programmatic industry trends

What You'll Need:

  • 2-5 years direct quota-carrying sales experience in digital media, programmatic, data driven targeting, or ad tech/mar tech space
  • Track record and demonstrated success in consistently exceeding sales goals
  • Experience in the programmatic and/or ad tech space (hands on keyboards trading experience is a plus!)
  • Experience working with/at agencies, agency trading desks, programmatic buying teams, or advertising data vendors
  • Robust working knowledge of the advertising technology and programmatic landscape and ecosystem (DSP's, SSP's, DMP's, 3rd Party Data, Advertising Effectiveness Measurement)
  • Demonstrated success in growing and retaining business.
  • Highly skilled in building trust by understanding client objectives and recommending best practices
  • Ability to quickly grasp and adapt in a fast-paced technology, data-driven environment
  • Initiative to grow and retain business
  • Sense of humor and can-do attitude are a must
  • Scrappy work ethic, willing to get hands dirty
  • Rolodex of industry contacts
