Job Title: Senior Statistical Analyst

Location: Pune, MH, India

About This Role

The Senior Analyst for Comscore is entrusted with extracting business insights from extensive data sets through the application of advanced statistical models, employing sampling methodologies, and leveraging probability theories. They are tasked with articulating findings concisely to both internal and external stakeholders. Senior Analysts take charge of their own projects, distilling insights, and effectively communicating them to leadership. They are also expected to provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and supervise research initiatives and data investigations.
  • Spearhead the initiation and execution of projects, ensuring their successful completion.
  • Play a pivotal role in innovating and shaping Comscore’s market offerings.
  • Leverage advanced Python skills, including exposure to PySpark, to optimize data processes and analysis.
  • Communicate insights to product management, client insights, operations, and engineering teams.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Engineering, coupled with a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in data analysis and problem solving with extensive data sets.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python (including PySpark), pandas, NumPy, and Hadoop, with demonstrated expertise in mathematics and statistics.
  • Strong command of query writing, joins, select statements, and data manipulation.
  • Demonstrated analytical prowess encompassing analysis design/execution and proficient problem-solving with substantial data volumes.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience with Internet Market Research data or panel-based data is highly advantageous.
  • Exposure to BI tools like PowerBI or other similar platforms is highly beneficial

Shift Timing:

The regular hours for this position will cover a combination of business hours in the US and India – typically 2pm-11pm IST.  Occasionally, later hours may be required for meetings with teams in other parts of the world.  Additionally, for the first 4-6 weeks of onboarding and training, US Eastern time hours (IST -9:30) may be required.

This will be a foundational role on our Pune-based GL team during a time of exponential growth for Comscore in Pune. The candidate for this role will be one of the first GL hires in Pune and will work with Comscore teams around the world on work vital to the future of Comscore and our clients.
