The Dictionary group’s primary function is to manage the company's proprietary classification systems for tracking Digital Media. The group provides comprehensive hierarchical definitions on how all Internet media are classified, allowing for competitive comparison analysis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Aggressively work within dictionary databases to produce accurate structures for monthly reporting
  • Conduct internal trainings and maintain training documents for dictionary database

    We are looking for a Senior Accountant in Reston, VA to help with consolidations of financial statements to be produced for the market.   The ideal candidate is passionate about financial statements and accounting.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements. This includes preparation of the statements of consolidated balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, and statements of stockholders’ equity.
    • Prepare reconciliation of adjusted EBITDA and various internal or ad hoc reports, which includes preparation of periodic variance analysis.
    • Assist with the management of chart of accounts.
    • Prepare various compensation and benefit accruals and reconcile related accounts.
    • Assist with various month end close activities as needed.
    • Provide necessary support for external auditors.
    • Assist with special projects as needed.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
    • 5+ years in accounting; U.S. public accounting experience; corporate accounting experience required.
    • International accounting experience a plus.
    • Team player with a positive attitude towards contributing and learning.
    • Thorough knowledge and experience in the areas of financial statement preparation, GAAP, and SOX.
    • Strong financial report writing skills.
    • Ability to work well both independently and as a team in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
    • Self-starter, quick learner, and ability to multi-task on a regular basis.
    • Strong sense of ownership and the ability to follow through to completion.
    • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel
