UK Consumers Increasingly Turn to Digital Channels for Health Information

It is political party conference season in the UK, and the future of the National Health Service (NHS) is a hot topic. Consumers are increasingly recognising the importance of the NHS via digital channels too.

Insights from comScore MMX Multi-Platform found that 19% of the UK digital population accessed NHS Sites via a PC, smartphone or tablet in August, making it the #1 destination in the Health category.

Of the 9.1 million consumers accessing NHS content in August, 36% did so via a smartphone or tablet only, underscoring the importance of these devices in driving consumer interaction with health information.
